Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key has many returning characters, with plenty of new ones that join forces to help Ryza solve her final mystery, ending the trilogy of the Atelier Ryza series. And, with a proper build and party composition, they can all be nearly unstoppable.
As with most JRPGs, your party's gear and construction are crucial for combat encounters and exploration, making Ryza's Alchemy your top priority to get down as soon as possible. Whether you want to focus on Gathering, the ins and outs of Syntheses, or everything else in the game, you must be dedicated to your craft to get the best results.

Ryza is the main protagonist of the game and a master Alchemist that can make all of these builds come true. She wields a Staff as her Weapon of choice but thrives when using Core Items to damage her opponents or heal her allies, making Dexterity one of her most crucial Stats. Below are the best pieces of gear you can equip Ryza with.
However, it is crucial to note that you should aim to max out everything outlined below to get the most out of your gear. To do this, you must take advantage of the game's Rebuilding mechanic, which becomes available via the Skill Tree. Best Klaudia Build
Klaudia is another ranged-focused character, utilizing her Bow to annihilate her opponents from a safe distance. Despite not being childhood friends with Ryza, Lent, and Tao, Klaudia fit into the group easily the moment she ran into Ryza, becoming a core member of the team and a friend of theirs for life. Like Ryza, it's crucial to point out that the build below will be the best overall for Klaudia in the game if you take the time to master every piece of gear, achieving all Traits, S-Ranking, and 999 Quality.

Best Lent Build
Lent is the muscle of the group, enabling him to wield a Greatsword with ease, making him a force to be reckoned with when equipped with a proper build. Due to being a more melee-centric fighter, his Accessories will be slightly different than Ryza's or Klaudia's, enabling you to get a bit more out of him during encounters. Like the others, you must strive to perfect the following build to get the most out of it, which entails getting everything to an S-Rank with 999 Quality and all Traits. You can do this by utilizing the Rebuilding mechanic to its full potential.

Best Tao Build
Tao is one of Ryza's closest childhood friends and serves as the group's rushdown attack with his Dual Swords, enabling him to land swift and deadly strikes on the enemy. Since he is also a more melee-focused character, he will share a similar build to Lent, with his Weapon being the only real difference as a whole. Best Bos Build
Bos has a long and complex relationship with Ryza, Lent, and Tao that has been patched up with the previous installment, having him obviously join Ryza on her final adventure with his Scimitar Sword in hand, ready to show his melee-prowess in combat. As a result, his build will be very similar to Lent's and Tao's and must also be S-Ranked at 999 Quality with all Traits obtained. Again, this is achievable via the Rebuilding mechanic, which becomes available later in your Skill Tree.

Best Federica Build
Federica is one of the newest members to join Ryza on her final journey and comes in with a Tessen (War Fan) that enables her to attack with fierce speeds and devastating strikes. However, despite wielding Tessens, her damage is considered to be ranged due to her ability to use the Fans to create large gusts of Wind, making her build fall more in line with Ryza's and Klaudia's. Like all the rest, however, you must achieve S-Rank and 999 Quality with everything outlined below to get the most out of Federica in battle.

Best Lila Build
Lila was a playable character in the first Ryza title but was only a supporting character the second time around, fortunately circling back around to becoming playable once more in Atelier Ryza 3 with her devastating dual-Metal Claws. This makes her one of the game's strongest and fastest melee-based characters. But, as you could have assumed, while she is quite strong by default, she will become much stronger if her equipment is all S-Ranked with 999 Quality.

Best Empel Build
Empel is another master Alchemist in the Atelier Ryza series who also wields a Staff to deal immense damage on his opponents from a manageable range.
