About Garrett Garcia

Garrett Garcia graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in English. He currently works as a Freelance Writer and has done so since 2019. He loves to write, read, play video games, and watch YouTube videos.

Garrett has been playing video games since he could hold a controller, starting on a PlayStation One and NES. He eventually got a PS2 for the holidays and has been intensly playing video games every since. 

Garrett loves to play RPGs, rhythm games, and fighting games, falling in love with the genres thanks to Final Fantasy, Guitar Hero, and Marvel Vs. Capcom, respectively.

Garrett realized he had a talent and passion that he could combine with his video gam hobby: writing. After studying English in school, Garrett sought freelance writing opportunities to share his skills with others.

His journey brought him to TheGamer, where he has been writing guides for over a year. He appreciates how the website offers resources for many games, making it easy for gamers to find everything they need.

Industry Focus

I love rhythm games and RPGs, so they tend to be my focus. I also play MOBAs and love to write gaming guides to help people tackle challenging parts of different games.

Favorite Games

My all time favorite video game is Xenoblade Chronicles 3. I also love Xenoblade Chronicles, American Mcgee's Alice, the Guitar Hero and Rock Band series, and League Of Legends.

Proudest Gaming Achievement

I'm proud of the time I won a Super Smash Bros. tournament for the first time. It was while I was in college, and I used my knowledge of Shulk and Olimar to take the tourney in Super Smash Bros. For Wii U.

I'm also proud of the time I completed Through The Fire And Flames on Expert Mode in Guitar Hero 3 for the first time.
