About Helen Ashcroft

Helen has been at TheGamer for over five years and has worked across several departments before settling down in Evergreen. She doesn't have a novel in progress and never will, but she writes an excellent top 10 list.

Outside of gaming, she's recently re-discovered the expensive hobby of painting Warhammer miniatures. She also loves dinosaurs.

Helen is the trainer for new list and affiliate writers. She's also an Evergreen writer and editor who dabbles in features, reviews, and interviews.

She specialises in games with sandbox modes and the words sim or tycoon in the description. Occasionally, you'll find her outside her comfort zone, but she'll be hiding under a blanket with her keyboard.
 

Favorite Games

A Simmer since The Sims way back in 2000, Helen's go-to game is The Sims 4. Her current rotation also includes Minecraft, Planet Zoo, Coral Island, and Honkai Star Rail.

Proudest Gaming Achievement

Helen has three stars on every single Two Point Campus level, including all DLC.

She can also build a really good house in The Sims 4.
