About Jouanna Bondakji

Jouanna is an English Literature graduate and volunteer editor with a love for games and writing. She especially loves RPGs, mystery games, and rhythm games. Not a completionist, but a lover of side content.

Analyzing characters and themes is one of Jouanna's favorite things. When not playing games, she can often be found practicing her drawing, listening to hours-long video essays, and annoying her cat.

Industry Focus

Jouanna writes lists for TheGamer, as well as the occassional Explainer and Evergreen Question. Her focus is usually on RPGs, multi-platform games, and her personal favorite games.

Favorite Games

Jouanna's favorite games of all time are the Kingdom Hearts series, Persona series, Yakuza/Like A Dragon series, and Nier: Automata. She also loves Shin Megami Tensei games, Danganronpa, Project DIVA, Tales of, and 13 Sentinels, among others. Particularly fond of turn-based games.

Proudest Gaming Achievement

Still a junior in her writing career, Jouanna's proudest achievement is being able to share her love for games with others via writing for TheGamer. She can't wait to hone her skills further and let her writing speak for itself!

Gaming-wise, though not a completionist by any means, Jouanna has Platinumed Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal out of pure love for the games. She plans to Platinum other games she loves--or at least attempt to.
