Marvel's Avengers movies far exceeded expectations. The special effects contained in each film went above and beyond. We have grown to love the magnificent Avengers team. Their banter in between planning and battling gives us another reason to rewatch their brilliant films. Aside from the numerous positive aspects of the Avengers films, they do have their flaws. At times, the Avengers films can be nonsensical.

Characters such as Spider-Man are part of Marvel but rarely appear as an Avenger. People's favorite Marvel superheroes are continually being neglected, and it is one of the major flaws of the Avengers films. Whether it is The Avengers, Avengers: Age of Ultron, or Avengers: Infinity War, there are a plethora of inherent issues that say the movies make no sense. Costumes that fail to disguise, juvenile arguments, and missing heroes, are among the flaws that the Avengers movies have.

Most importantly, people of all ages can come together and enjoy Avengers films. People will appreciate Avengers films regardless of their flaws because they contain so many of our favorite heroes such as Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, Captain America, and Spider-Man.

Despite the films having their flaws, there is much to admire about Marvel's and Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures' approach to these films. Even if you haven't seen an Avengers film, you can still respect the hilarity and logic of these comics. Have fun enjoying 25 Avengers memes that show how these movies don't make sense!

24 Fashion Statement Or Secretive Disguise?

Pinterest (fleur Deschamps)

This seemingly simple meme, made of a line from the movie, has so much meaning. One of the most obvious things people see in comic book movies is that superheroes rarely put in an effort to conceal their identity. Heroes such as Captain America, Thor, and Black Widow do not wear masks and are openly exposing themselves to be recognized.

Is there anything wrong with letting the world know your identity as a hero? Yes, they put so many criminals in jail, and if the wrong people find out who a hero indeed is, they may use the information against them. In this comic, Thor seems to think that nonchalantly covering himself with a blanket passes as a disguise. Protect yourself and the people you love by getting a proper disguise.

23 Do They Know I'm Not One Of Them?

This is a DC/Marvel comic that highlights the fact that Marvel comic book characters are full of insecurities. Throughout most of the first Thor movie, Thor was stripped of his powers, made a mortal, and separated from his legendary hammer. Superman deeply desires to be human, and this contrasts with Marvel heroes who all strive for more power.

The Marvel movies including the Avengers don't make sense because of the lack of awareness by people in the city. They see someone dressed in an outfit like Thor or Batman and assume the craziest things, such as they are monsters or some monstrous beast. Batman is a human being, and Thor is a god. Maybe someone should fill the people in on this information so they can get it right!

22 Fight Like A Man!

9gag.com

Spider-Man is pretty ridiculous because of the way he chooses to fight villains. Spider-Man is a master of teasing foes and often does this while he is clinging to a roof or wall. His ability to climb walls has saved Spider-Man more times than we can count.

Is there anything heroic about hiding on the ceiling?

Since Spider-Man is an Avenger, it was only natural we would include at least one Spider-Man comic on this collection of comics. The thug on the walkway asks Spider-Man to come down so he can fight like a man. Spider-Man fights like a spider, so why wouldn't he want the thug to come up to the ceiling? This comic sort of shows how Avengers movies don't make sense. Because why the heck is Spider-Man always using the same cheap moves to fight opponents?

21 When We Thought The Avengers Couldn't Get More Characters

via: ifunny.co

The Avenger squad seems to be growing larger and larger with every movie that arrives. Even Captain America: Civil War blew us away because of how many heroes it contained. Just when we think that the Avengers couldn't possibly jam more heroes into a film, because it would take away from the story and have too many action scenes, they release Avengers: Infinity War which contains at least 67 characters and a significant number of those characters are either superheroes or villains.

There is an untitled Avengers movie that is scheduled to release in the year 2019. Now that Spider-Man has joined the Avengers film squad, we are eagerly waiting to see who else may participate in the next movie. If history tells us anything, we are bound to see a gaggle of new Avengers.

20 The Secret Is I'm Always Angry

instagram.com (comics_infinite)

The Avenger movies did not come out until endless Marvel superhero movies were released. Examples of Marvel movies that came out before The Avengers are Thor, Spider-Man, The Amazing Spider-Man, Hulk, The Incredible Hulk, Captain America: The First Avenger, Iron Man, and more.

When Bruce Banner went into Hulk mode in the original Hulk movies, it was usually during a passionate scene in which he tried hard to restrain his anger or attempted to unleash his rage. The fact Banner had changed into the Hulk was monumental. In this comic, Bruce Banner transforms into the Hulk in an instant because he says he's always angry. It was a funny joke to add in, but makes no sense because if he's always angry then shouldn't he always be in Hulk form?

19 No Girls Allowed!

pleated-jeans.com

It would seem as if a super cool party with Thor, and who appears to be Hawkeye (played by Jeremy Renner), is taking place when Black Widow shows up at the door. For some reason, Spider-Man is stuck outside, watching from the window, while the guests of the party are having the time of their lives.

Spider-Man isn't a real part of The Avengers.

Spider-Man is one of the most useful Avengers because of his superhuman strength, sticky hands, and web capabilities. Most of the time, however, it would seem as if Spider-Man is given the cold shoulder from his comrades for reasons we cannot explain. Spider-Man is always left out on the side as Captain America steals the show. Why can't Spidey be the leader?

18 Thor And Loki Can't Seem To Get Along

Pinterest (Bonnie Torgersen)

Loki and Thor are brothers and have been so for a long time. They have their differences, but at the end of the day, we would think they would eventually learn to get along. Loki has played both sides of the spectrum as a hero and a villain. We love Loki in both roles, but since Loki later becomes a hero, you would think they'd let go of their past grudges.

In this comic, Thor's hammer shatters by the grasp of a foe and Loki takes pleasure in the sighting. Even though Thor's hammer is invaluable to Thor and The Avengers, Loki continues to laugh. We are not sure if their dysfunctional relationship is an Avengers movie problem or a regular part of being in a family, but it could be both.

17 Iron Man Is Too Smart At Times

vitamin-ha.com

Iron Man probably doesn't receive nearly enough recognition as a member of the group of Avengers. His suit allows him to fly and his gadgets may be more advanced than Batman's. Tony Stark doesn't have to be an Avenger. He is a billionaire-playboy philanthropist who could retire for the rest of his life and live on an island if he wanted to.

Take Tony Stark's Iron Man suit away, and you still have a billionaire philanthropist; take Cap's shield away, and you have an incredibly buff guy. What is the point of this comic and how does it prove that Marvel movies make no sense? Well, Tony Stark is awesome, and Captain America thinks he's a hot shot; that is why the movies make no sense. Do you think Batman or Iron Man would win in a head-to-head battle?

16 The Most Indestructible Item In The Avengers

funnyand.com

There is an apparent elephant in the room, and it's Hulk's pants. Hulk's size grows to a massive proportion after Banner transforms. Somehow all of Hulk's clothes are ripped off in the process of changing, except for his pants. Aside from a few tatters, the pants keep their form.

Do those pants come in a size 32?

The pants must be part of Hulk's body because for some reason Hulk cannot rip the pants he wears. Especially with all the stunts Hulk performs, he should lose his pants once in a while. Iron Man has had suits destroyed, and even Thor's hammer has been destroyed before. Somehow, Hulk's pants remain as the most indestructible item in the Avengers movies.

15 She-Hulk And Iron Woman?

via: jokideo.com

American films are gravitating towards greater inclusion of women in cinema. The new Ghostbusters movie is a prime example of a franchise that was remade with women replacing men. Ghostbusters was a huge hit and affirms our assumptions that women starring in blockbuster films is something we need more of. The Hulk photo is confusing, but the concept is okay.

Characters in The Avengers such as Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor, could be replaced with females instead. Usually, films such as The Avengers and Justice League, which contain a bunch of superheroes, only have a few women as heroes. Women are almost always the minority when, more often, they should be the majority. Comic characters, in general, are overwhelmingly male. Female Avengers would be too epic for words!

14 We Need More Spidey!

78.media.tumblr.com

This is another comic that further adds to the point that Spider-Man is rarely given the treatment of an Avenger or given the credit he deserves. Notably, Spider-Man was never in the original Avengers comics and was only added in The New Avengers comic book series. Also with copyrights of Spider-Man being owed by Sony, it is quite challenging to put Spider-Man in an Avengers movie. Now that Sony has cut a deal to allow Spider-Man to be in the Avengers we want to see him in a leadership role.

You may not even care for Spider-Man. You may like Captain America or The Incredible Hulk more. There is still no question that the Avengers need Spider-Man's unique talents on their side.

13 Hulk Smash Now!

i.pinimg.com

The character of Hulk proves that Marvel movies make no sense. How could a laboratory experiment cause a human-being to turn into a monster whenever he is angry. Surely any transformation such as Hulk's is entirely preposterous. Hulk's skin also becomes more resistant to attacks when he transforms which seems implausible.

Hulk's move set is limited compared to many of the other Avengers. Hulk is a big green fighting machine. If we have learned anything from watching Hulk in Marvel movies, it is that Mark Ruffalo knows how to capture Bruce Banner amazingly. Arguably, Bruce Banner played the character better than Edward Norton and Eric Bana. Hulk needs to calm down and learn some new moves instead of always attacking in a blinding rage.

12 May The Thor Be With You

Pinterest (Sarah Rankin)

The Avengers and Thor movies seem to use the opposite color scheme for heroes than what is traditionally used. Luke and Darth Vader's phantasmic battle on the Death Star was made with two different lightsabers. Luke had a green lightsaber, and Darth Vader had a red lightsaber.

While red is usually considered to be a color used by a villain, Thor has maintained his status as a hero throughout the Avengers films. Thor's brother Loki has a green outfit and plays the part as a villain. This comic is partially right because most of the villains in Avengers movies have colors that are neither red or green. Iron Man also wears red, so there could be a pattern.

11 The Dark World Throne

Pinterest (Kenzie Hodl)

Loki and his father had a peculiar relationship that was distant most of the time. Loki's father's true love was given to his son Thor and not Loki. This comic shows a series of poses on King Odin's throne. It would seem as if King Odin usually sits on a throne in the middle of his seat, but in The Dark World, a world free from rules, sitting in the middle of a throne would seem too odd.

King Odin leans on his chair in The Dark World because he had to shake things up. Naturally, we know Loki is a beast, so of course, Loki would be sitting in the same way as his father in The Dark World. His father should have given Loki the throne in the first place. Everyone loves Loki, and he deserved the throne as much as Thor; as long as he used the chair responsibly, that is.

10 But It's A Marvel Movie...

Pinterest (Awesome)

So many Marvel movies contain scenes during the credits, and sometimes, secret endings that take place after the credits. Marvel's films have huge budgets. Avengers: Age of Ultron cost approximately $280 million and is the fourth most expensive film of all time. If you thought you would be able to see the secret ending at the end of a Marvel movie a few minutes after they start rolling, you are sadly mistaken.

End of credits scenes are an additional scene and potentially a preview for a sequel.

Marvel credits seem to have no end. They just keep going and going. If by any chance you kept waiting and made it to the end, it could be worth it for the chance to see additional closure to the film or a hint for the film's sequel. Sometimes Marvel movies don't have secret endings. Most of the time, instead of waiting 15 minutes, it might be better to watch the secret ending on the internet.

9 Take My Money

If it is one thing that filmmakers in Hollywood forget about the most, it is that giving people what they want is rarely a bad idea. Everyone loved Scarlett Johansson's performance as Black Widow in the Marvel Avengers franchise. Give the people what they want!

Scarlett Johansson in almost any capacity works. She was brilliant in Lost in TranslationLucy, and the Avengers franchise. Marvel and their production companies have proven they know how to make spectacular superhero movies. For Scarlett Johansson to star in a stand-alone film would be a dream come true. Marvel should stop rehashing Thor and Captain America sequels and get Budapest starring Scarlett Johansson done. It's what the people want, and what they deserve.

8 Ultron, The God Of Rock

avengersmemes.tumblr.com

This supervillain in Avengers: Age of Ultron, Ultron, had a goal to wipe out all of humanity because his system calculated that human-kind is the greatest threat to the survival of the Earth. Tony Stark probably should have made Ultron's programming more complex. Making Ultron's priorities to protect human-beings and buildings would have been a good idea to add also.

Every time a cyber-robot, alien, or colossal monster, is unleashed onto a city, it is often the buildings in that take the most damage. Multiple skyscrapers are often turned into rubble because of careless Avengers and chaotic villains. Ultron's body is made of a metal alloy, and when he is done with the Earth, it will be time to rock out!

7 Things To Fight Over

via knowyourmeme.com

Captain America and Iron Man seem to think that fighting to what could be their demise is an acceptable way to deal with a political issue. If you didn't know, Captain America's and Iron Man's teams fought over what was contained in a document called the Sokovia Accords. The Sokovia Accords would register heroes and control how they operate. The Avengers wouldn't be able to plan their own missions under the control of the government.

There is nothing civil about war!

Tony Stark is mostly to blame for Ultron almost destroying the Earth. He got more than he bargained for when he chose to invest in a super-advanced artificial robot. Its destructive nature caused cities to be wiped out. Waffle House or Cracker Barrel? Captain America: Civil War.

6 Why So Serious?

funsubstance.com

An overly joyful tone could be considered an issue of the Avengers films. For some reason, even when dealing with the fate of the Earth, the Avengers are joking around and acting like their job isn't to protect millions of lives. DC heroes such as Batman and Superman take issues such as mortality and defeating malicious villains seriously. Just like working at any job, there is nothing wrong with trying to make light of your day, but the Avengers take it to extremes by making jokes every five seconds and even moments before they're about to fight a powerful foe.

Saving innocent lives is not a joke, and The Avengers need to be more serious. You may disagree and think there is nothing wrong with their jokes, but being more serious about saving the world could be something to think about.

5 Gosh Darnit, Steve!

via: 9gag.com

Iron Man is one of the most influential characters in the Avengers. Tony Stark's vision for the future, high intelligence, and powerful Iron Man suit, makes him one of the organizations top decision-makers. It would seem as if every time Iron Man tries to do something beneficial for humanity, there is always some force waiting to stop him.

Everyone just wants to get in Tony's way.

Almost everyone watched Avengers: Age of Ultron. Ultron is one of the coolest villains of all time. With a genius-level of intellect, the ability to fly, powerful energy blasts, and a body made up of a fictional metal alloy; he is virtually unstoppable. Iron Man's invention backfired when Ultron's artificial intelligence determined that humankind was Earth's greatest threat.
