If there is one comic book character capable of taking on the entire formidable team of the Avengers, it would be Deadpool. Yes, your arguments would be valid when claiming that Deadpool is nowhere near as powerful as The Incredible Hulk, Thor, or Thanos, but Deadpool does have his greatest asset: his ability to break the fourth wall.

Deadpool’s popularity skyrocketed because of this very feature, as the Merc with a Mouth made it known he was fully aware of being a comic book character, or a movie character, and decided to embrace it. Deadpool frequently employs the use of this power to quip at the audience and never let them be with a sense of security. Combining all these advantages gives Deadpool the edge in any potential fight with the Avengers, as Wade can simply walk off frame and decide not to undergo the fight.

His antics have drawn the ire of almost anyone who has crossed him in the comics or the movies. But Deadpool has no plans to change the way he is. The fans aren't complaining either, as they got a hero who not only deviated from the normal status quo, but made rules of his own.

No matter how heated things might get for the characters, we have these following memes to keep us amused for any Avengers vs. Deadpool scenarios.

20 Who's There?

via memecenter.com

There are all sorts of memes out there making fun of Spider-Man. The guy can be a total doormat and this feature of his makes him a frequent target for meme makers. But the joke that has to be the most hilarious of all concerns Uncle Ben’s demise.

This is the easiest way to make Peter Parker cry.

Even in the films, Peter is brought to tears at the mere mention of Uncle Ben as he keeps struggling with his guilt at playing a hand in the old man’s passing. Deadpool will not hold back in his ribbing and Uncle Ben will be his most prized punchline. Here, Deadpool isn’t as straightforward as he usually is and takes his time to reach the punchline by engaging Peter in a knock knock joke. Saying ‘Not Uncle Ben’ is so simple yet so hilarious when considering Peter’s anguished reaction.

19 Wrong Universe

It might seem like a very long time ago when people weren’t familiar with Black Panther, but the character really only got the spotlight in the past two years. Before 2016, there were hardly any Black Panther fans. In fact, his introduction in Captain America: Civil War was met with unanimous praise because of his surprise package as an entertaining character.

This is why Deadpool trolling Black Panther here is a bit on the nose. We know that people weren’t familiar with him a couple years ago, but with the success of his recent film, people like to pretend they’ve been fans for years. Except Deadpool doesn’t pretend for anything and angers Black Panther by calling him a Batman copy. Even funnier is how he doesn’t stop even after being chased as he calls Superman for help, knowing DC doesn’t exist in their universe.

Never try to troll the ultimate troll. Thor learned this lesson the hard way, or should we say in the stinkiest way possible. Mjolnir has been the subject of many wonderings in that should Thor place the hammer on a toilet would it prevent anyone from accessing it.

This doesn’t apply to Deadpool who does his business anyway.

Spider-Man was an easy target for the God of Thunder and the poor boy may have had to swing his way across rooftops before finding an appropriate place to relieve himself. But Wade turns the tables on Thor and goes on top of Mjolnir itself. Imagine Thor’s disgust at having to wash off his hammer after Deadpool, of all people, used it.

This joke completely fits with the character. While seeing Deadpool in The Avengers would’ve been interesting, to say the least, odds are he wouldn’t have been much use. Even more likely is this scenario where the Merc with a Mouth sees through universes and witnesses the New York event from The Avengers taking place, with the Chitauri Leviathan causing all kinds of destruction.

Getting Wade to do good at any rate is a tough task. And getting him to help out in a movie he is not even a part of is an impossibility. As Deadpool so casually puts it: It’s not his movie so it’s not his problem, although watching Deadpool annoy the heck out of Loki would have been a treat to watch.

Ant-Man himself is quite a jokester as we saw him annoy Hank Pym with his frequent quips in Ant-Man, which he is sure to follow with more of the same attitude in Ant-Man and the Wasp. But when it comes to being paired with Deadpool you will always be the straight man of the scenario.

Deadpool genuinely wonders if Ant-Man becomes miniscule.

Wade is all about crossing boundaries and he has no reservations when he wants to make sure if Ant-Man does in fact experience shrinking everywhere, which would include his brain. Deadpool has no orientation or preference so there can even be chances of him wanting to make sure of this before he can hit on Scott.

15 Out You Go

Deadpool was a character that always needed time. To clarify, the character could never have made it to the big screen even as recently as a decade ago. The world needed to change and become more open to newer, and sometimes gross, material in order for the Merc with a Mouth to find his footing and become a bonafide superhero who could bring audiences to the cinema.

This comic is a perfect example of what anyone who pitched Deadpool’s inclusion in the Avengers would have felt like. Although, given the state of the current Avengers, it’s hard to imagine Wade fitting in well with the tone of the films. But the character would still have had been received well by the public. Alas, studio executives weren’t having any of it.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has always favored flashy angles in order to sell its movies. Just take a peek at all the trailers for its movies and you’ll notice how the heroes are seen in cool poses at various points even though it adds nothing to the story or the trailer except making them look cool. The superhero landing is also ever present in the trailers and movies themselves.

Spider-Man’s first trailer appearance was the superhero landing.

After wrestling Captain America’s shield from his possession, the wallcrawler completed the trope. Had Deadpool been present, the scene would not have played out as much of a surprise as Wade would have seen it coming from before. Judging by his enthusiastic response, he seems to be a fan.

To those who don’t know, Deadpool and Thanos are really old enemies. The reason behind this is bizarre, too. Thanos was in love with Lady D and destroyed half the universe to win her heart. However, she was already in love with Deadpool. And so, as retribution, Thanos cursed Wade with immortality so that he could never perish and be together with Lady D.

Suffice to say, he and Thanos are lifelong enemies. But this pairing is odd, as Deadpool is a comedy character while Thanos hardly ever cracks a genuine smile. Here, Deadpool continues to have his fun, and makes the best out of a bad situation by pranking Thanos and sticking a ‘Kick Me’ sign on his back.

12 Hands Up, Or Off

via buzzfeed.com

In Guardians of the Galaxy, Rocket Raccoon demonstrated a sinister sense of humor when he made Peter Quill get the prosthetic limb of a prison inmate as the Guardians began their escape from jail. It turned out Rocket hadn’t needed the limb at all and was just joking.

This joke would never work on Deadpool.

In his titular film, we saw Wade take off his own hand in order to escape Colossus’ clutches and be forced to the X-Mansion. Deadpool would later regrow his hand in within the span of a few hours. Had this situation played out with Rocket, the poor Raccoon would have reacted with shock at having to watch Deadpool take his hand off so casually. Talk about taking jokes too far, right?

11 Did I Make Myself Clear?

via buzzfeed.com

This guy here got a harsh dose of reality of who Deadpool really is. The Merc with a Mouth loves his jokes, maybe way too much in most instances, but when you ask for it, you’ll experience his forward humor firsthand. Similar to this comic was the reaction of those people who grown accustomed to the Marvel Cinematic Universe films and expected Deadpool to be along the same lines.

Deadpool even lampshades this a few times in the movie by telling the audience this isn’t a normal superhero movie at all. In the above meme, we see Deadpool clarifying, painfully, to someone who feels his film should be rated PG-13. However, Deadpool makes sure to mention PG-13 is reserved for the Avengers and not the likes of him.

10 Deadpool Is Worthy

via buzzfeed.com

Deadpool’s adventures with Mjolnir continue and this time he takes it one too far. Previously we saw Deadpool unload all over Mjolnir when Thor had placed it on the toilet to prank him. This time we see him shrug it off by picking up the hammer!

Mjolnir could only be lifted by those worthy or supremely strong like Thor, Odin, or Hela, and even Captain America could only slightly nudge it in his effort in Avengers: Age of Ultron. But Deadpool, who neither knows nor cares for the worthiness enchantment placed on the hammer, easily picks it up and hands it back to the God of Thunder. It would seem that when nature calls Wade instantly becomes worthy enough to wield Mjolnir.

9 Bros For Life

via buzzfeed.com

It’s a shame Avengers: Infinity War and next year’s Avengers 4 serve as the finale for the first 22 films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as this almost certainly means that Robert Downey Jr.’s tenure as Iron Man is coming to an end. The X-Men franchise will also be heading to the MCU in the near future so it’s a missed opportunity we won’t see Deadpool and Iron Man together.

These two heroes would lay waste to all others.

They both have quite the potty mouths, and straight-laced superheroes like Colossus and Captain America already have their hands full dealing with them. It should be a given that Iron Man and Deadpool will end up becoming best friends should they meet, and would have the time of their lives annoying their pals.

8 One Man Army

via facebook.com

In The Avengers we saw an exchange between Loki and Tony Stark – which sadly seems to be the only one we will ever get between the two – where Stark brushed away Loki’s threat of having an army by shooting back that the Avengers have a hulk. It was a valid argument too, seeing that Loki got curbstomped in his fight against the Hulk mere hours later.

In Deadpool we saw the titular character get clobbered by Colossus as he had nothing to damage the gentle giant. It took cutting off his own hand for Wade to be able to escape, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that now that he and Colossus are pals, Deadpool can make the same claim as Iron Man did only with Colossus as his one man army.

7 I Like Your Skin

via: memecenter.com

Leave it to Deadpool to make a joke out of a poignant and moving image. Logan saw Wolverine at his grittiest, but the character saw his heart melt when faced with his biological daughter. In order to show that even an animalistic brute like Logan could be calmed down by a child, the film’s poster had his daughter holding his hand while claws protruded from them.

Deadpool and Spider-Man make a mockery of this.

Although Deadpool’s inclusion in Logan would have felt completely out of place, we can be certain this would have been the extent of his involvement, with the Merc with a Mouth and his associate Spider-Man joking around with Wolverine. You never know, though, maybe Wolverine does have nice skin.

6 The Ultimate Betrayal

via pinterest.com

In an issue of Captain America, in 2016, the character made one of the biggest plot twists when he revealed himself to be a HYDRA double agent all this time. The final frame of the issue was made into thousands of meme where people would make claims that were impossible.

This picture is the worst nightmare of all Marvel fans and characters. Stan Lee, the father of Marvel comics, is seen here proclaiming ‘Hail DC Comics’. It would be the ultimate betrayal for his creations, and considering Deadpool knows he is part of a comic book series, you can be certain his reaction at the news would be the hardest hitting among all other characters. Although knowing him, Deadpool would just troll everyone else by joining DC Comics too.

5 Time For Action

via pinterest.com

Earlier on, we saw Deadpool refusing to help the Avengers as he didn’t see the point in jumping universes to help out in a movie he wasn’t even part of. But let’s be fair, it would be a dream come true for Deadpool to be included among Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. For the most part the appeal for Deadpool would the bragging rights he would have to be among this elite group of superheroes.

Once the novelty wears off, Deadpool would start freaking out.

His foul mouth isn’t welcome in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so right off the bat he would feel alienated. And speaking of aliens, his reaction to having to fight them would be a combination of shock and glee.

4 Art Imitates Life

via pinterest.com

There are hardly any characters Deadpool hasn’t had a crush on. The character transcends the comics and the movie screens as well. In the comics he likened himself to Ryan Reynolds before Reynolds was even cast to play him in Deadpool. He has had multiple girlfriends, as well as boyfriends, too. So you never know where Wade is coming from and what he is thinking.

Adding all this into real-life terms would make us believe Deadpool has been working behind the scenes in our world too. As coincidence would have it Black Widow and Deadpool were married in real-life. Ryan Reynolds had been with Scarlet Johansson and both would go on to play the characters who had had a romance in the comics.

3 Jaw Dropping Moment

via buzzfeed.com

Deadpool fits the bill for a character freaking out over a movie he would be a part of himself. The above scenario has a strong possibility to come true now that the X-Men will be seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Deadpool would be part of the fight but maybe won’t choose sides.

That’s not to say he will be fighting for a cause. The most likely scenario is of him joining the fray and shooting blindly like the maniac he is, and counting the people he manages to hit as his contribution to the fight. Then there’s also the chance that Deadpool doesn’t partake in the battle at all and instead opts to sit in the movie theater to enjoy the show as part of the audience.

2 Real-Life 3D

via pinterest.com

Credit has to be given to the creator of this meme who has captured the essence of the character well in 2015. Deadpool wasn’t a well-known character back then, despite what many fakers might claim, and his only notoriety came from his ill-received turn in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. But this meme takes a good shot – or literally shots in this case – at the avengers as it imagine Deadpool arriving in cinemas to watch Avengers: Age of Ultron.

At the time, his individual movie had only been in its early steps so it would be plausible to think the character held the audience in contempt for preferring the Avengers over him. And so he makes 3D come to life by mowing the theater down all the while making sure to wear the glasses.

1 Easy Virtue

vi imgflip.com

This one is a bit of cheating in that the meme doesn’t include Marvel comics, and mostly features DC heroes. But everyone knows Superman and Wonder Woman can be swapped with Captain America, while Batman could be replaced with Iron Man. The stormtrooper qualifies as Star Wars is owned by Disney who also own Marvel. Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way we can see how Deadpool has no care for superhero virtues either.

Deadpool is all about taking the fight wherever he wants to.

He’ll go guns blazing without giving a care whether the ones he is shooting are friends or foes. Because that is part of Deadpool’s philosophy. This is one of the reasons why the character is entertaining as he puts himself in situations where he never comes across looking worse for wear.
