Game mods are designed to make games more enjoyable but sometimes, they are so bad that nobody ever uses them. In other cases, they are so hilariously bad that you need to try them at least once.
Unfortunately, most game mods are very bad. They do nothing to help the player. Fortunately, there are others that are very good and that you will always want to use after trying them once, like these ones for Minecraft. But these are not those we cover in this article.
The hilariously bad game mods presented below are not necessarily unpopular or controversial, like this one for Red Dead Redemption 2. They are just both bad and hilarious at the same time, and they need to be tried by any gamer at least once.
10 The Sims 4 - Get Addicted To Drugs
One of the worst things you could have done in The Sims 4 was to kill your Sim through drastic measures, like getting him/her stuck between 4 walls. This changed with the addition of mods.
Now, you can add a mod to allow the Sim to use and even sell drugs. Its name is “Basemental” and includes many drugs that are particularly addictive. Surprisingly, the mod was not inspired by using such substances in real life. It was inspired by mods that added drugs as ornaments. The creator noticed that and decided to do something that would make the Sim addicted.
The Sim can become a “Drug Dealer” through an extra skill that practically adds a new career or buy from the internet.
9 Hearts Of Iron - Adding Modern Nazis
Hearts Of Iron IV is not known by many. It is a political strategy game played between the years 1933 and 1946. The hilariously bad game mod discussed is called “Millennium Dawn”. What it does is let you play with different factions that are relevant right now, like the Islamic State and a white nationalist party.
When you choose to have the leader of the Nazis (Richard Spencer was chosen) in power, different policies become activated, like installing KKK leaders in political spots, making Macklemore haircuts obligatory and implementing segregation.
8 The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Thomas The Tank Engine Dragons
Every person that played The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim remembers the iconic opening scene where a dragon attacks Helgen. It turns out that many mods were created to change this scene and replace the dragon. One of them instantly stands out, as Thomas The Tank Engine replaces it.
Besides the fact that having dragons turned into steam locomotives from a controversial cartoon can trigger nightmares to some, the experience is made even more stressful by changing the sounds of the dragon with beeping from the tank engines in the cartoon. It is hard not to laugh when you see the results.
7 NBA2K14 – Space Jam Mod
Space Jam was a basketball movie that starred Looney Tunes characters and NBA superstars like Michael Jordan. Thanks to a mod for NBA2K14, you can recreate the battle between the Michael Jordan led “Tune Squad” and 5 NBA stars of the nineties that were transformed into monsters known under the team name “Monstars”.
When you use the mod, you can play as the Tune Squad or as the Monstars, taking on players like Larry Johnson, Charles Barkley, Michael Jordan, Bugs Bunny and even Lola Bunny. There is something both strange and attractive in this mod that might get you to play NBA2K14 again.
6 DOOM – Everything Is Tim Allen
This is by far one of the most annoying and obnoxious things you will see. You might even end up playing DOOM again, although it is a certainty you will not do it with the mod activated.
The Tim Allen mod basically replaces absolutely everything with Tim Allens. This includes the weapons, the halls, the monsters and more. To make matters even more annoying, the creator also took the primal noises of the character the actor played in Home Improvement. As a result, you not only see Tim Allen everywhere, you also hear him.

In Grand Theft Auto V you can use so many interesting mods. Some are both hilarious and bad at the same time. There is a pretty good possibility though that you will not see this one like any of these categories. As you transform into a Goku powerhouse, you get to fly and use trademark attacks to create a world of destruction. Speed can be increased by simply pressing a key and you can even teleport if you want to.

Left 4 Dead 2 is enjoyed by many, in part because of the possibility to add mods. While some are very interesting, this one will surely make you mad. This is especially the case if you hate the Teletubbies because instead of fighting monsters, you will fight Teletubbies.
With every single update, the mod added new types of Teletubbies to fight and kills. This includes the common infected ones and some that will hurt you even more after they die since their heads explode. The mod will work on practically all campaigns and even when you play online.
3 Grand Theft Auto IV – Carmageddon Mod
Carmageddon was a very popular game released many years before Grand Theft Auto IV. It involved destroying other cars with your vehicles and killing pedestrians. With the Carmageddon Mod for GTA IV, complete chaos takes over as the vast majority of cars receive negative friction on wheels. They keep accelerating whenever wheels are on the road, walls or ceilings. As a result, a hilarious car madness is created.
After the mod is activated, it becomes very difficult to play since you need to avoid all the cars that keep running towards everyone and everything. There is a very small possibility you will not die but you can take it as a challenge.

Every person that played Skyrim knows the spiders in the game. They are terrifying on their own, but what if they would be transformed into something worse, like bear spiders? The mod transforms all the spiders found in dark and dank caves into bears. The new bears have all the characteristics and traits of the spiders.
As a result, it becomes hilarious to see bears descending from cave roofs as they weave webs and come to attack you. The only problem is that they lose their toughness and are much easier to kill, just like the spiders.
