Disney has and always will be a part of our childhoods. We grew up with them and learned valuable lessons to help us grow as a person. Whether they are the memorable movies or television shows, we will always look back on the House of Mouse for giving us great memories to remember. Unfortunately, Disney has been known to be a huge giant corporate sellout, especially with its recent shows. They figured that the way to make more money is to follow the trend everyone is talking about without putting effort unlike Walt Disney’s hard work in the last century.

These shows are not only rather insulting, but are irritating, annoying, and lack any good social commentary. It is hard to imagine that Beauty and the Beast is brought to you by the same company that created a canine running an online blog. Not to mention, some of the shows eventually brought its child actors to work for most of their lives without having to get the chance to be a kid. If you can recall an actor or actress who starred in one of these shows, then you know what Disney has done to them.

While there are amazing shows Disney has brought to the small screen, most of them are unbearable and have lack of talent and potential. Whenever a show stops airing for good, even if it has its last episode, you know how bad the show is. Here are twenty shows Disney wants you to forget.

20 Unfortunately Disappointing Spin-Off

via: twistmagazine.com

The Suite Life of Zack and Cody was a smart, creative, and funny sitcom on Disney Channel. It should have ended its course once the show finished. However, Disney Channel decided to milk more money off the name and give it a spin-off where Zack and Cody go to school on a cruise. While the actors on the show do their best and still have their likeable charm, the writing and the unnecessary need for this spin-off is what made this show not as good as the original. The Suite Life on Deck is pretty much the original show minus the charm because we know that the twins will go through some sort of conflict and eventually resolve it at the end of the episode. Just leave the original show to its former glory and forget this disappointing spin-off.

19 Good Band, Bad Actors

via: pinterest.com

If you need a summary of this show starring the Jonas Brothers, then it would look like this: it's just the Jonas Brothers if they were less interesting and removed all likability. Jonas was just very bland to begin with because we already know who the Jonas Brothers were. Then in season 2, it was rebranded as Jonas LA and became more dramatic. The strangest part is how they got their band name in the show. They live on Jonas Street because that is very original for a band name. They even dragged in their youngest brother, Frankie into the show, and he is just as mediocre as his brothers. What made this show not work is that the Jonas Brothers were already a household name. Thankfully, the show got canceled after two seasons.

18 Pretentious And Selfish

via: disney.wikia.com

The fact that these two actresses had to play unlikable characters is really cringe-worthy and it shows how bad their acting is in this sitcom. It is about two best friends who get a chance to become professional dancers on their local TV show. There is a lot to be said about how stereotypical Shake it Up! is, especially with the overdone message, “I want to be famous!” There were so many forced jokes, terrible acting, and unlikable characters in this abysmal show. Not to mention, the two main leads were made to pretty much hate each other’s guts, even if they act like best friends, and that is certainly not how to make a successful show. Overall, this Disney sitcom is vain, selfish, and superficial.

17 Dumbest Idea Ever

via: dogwithablog.wikia.com

Was someone smoking when creating the concept of this show? Who and why would anyone even want to see a show called Dog with a Blog? What is the joke behind this? The fact that no one in the family knows about the dog having a blog about his family shows that they are not good at taking care of him, even though he seems fine on his own. To the dog’s credit, he is the most expressive and likable character compared to the other characters, and that is saying a lot about how awful this show is. The family is nothing but stereotypes that Full House would laugh at. Let us not forget that the jokes fail to make us laugh, even with the laugh track in it.

16 Awkward Acting Overall

via: fanpop.com

Oh, boy is the acting on A.N.T. Farm beyond awkward and laughable. If you were to judge the title of this show by the name alone, you assumed it is about someone raising an ant farm, but that would have been more entertaining to watch than this pile of garbage. Instead, it is about a girl who is a prodigy in music and gets accepted into the A.N.T. program. The characters are not very memorable and as mentioned before, the acting is all over the place. How it managed to get three seasons is an answer only Disney Channel executives have the answer to. For all of our sakes, it is best to forget about this awful sitcom’s existence and avoid it at all costs.

15 Not Off The Hook

via: spongebob.wikia.com

Who wants a show about teenage fishes going to high school? No one does! But apparently, Fish Hooks existed and we wished it never did. Is it trying to be its own thing, or be Disney’s take on SpongeBob SquarePants? Then again, it does look like it might have stolen ideas from Shark Tale, since of the fishes’ name happens to be Oscar. Some of the animation even comes across as freaky looking, seemingly to get the audience’s attention who was dozing off from the boring high school aspect of this cartoon. If there is one thing to know about this show that seems plausible, is the voice actor and creator from Rick and Morty appearing on this cartoon. However, he cannot save this show.

14 Not As Memorable As Conan

via: youtube.com

While this cartoon is not that bad, Dave the Barbarian is unfortunately sub-par compared to the cartoons that aired during its run. The idea of a cartoon taking place in the medieval times sounds great on paper, but the execution for this does not work in its favor. The characters are either stereotypical or one-dimensional. It was no wonder why it only lasted for a season. Ironically, reruns of this show lasted longer than the cartoon itself, which does not help how forgettable this cartoon is. If this were to get a reboot, then it could have been better than how it was executed. Unlike the other entries on this list, this cartoon is not terrible but leaves a lot to be desired to become a memorable cartoon from Disney.

13 Jake Paul's Beginning

via: youtube.com

You know Jake Paul? That guy from Vine who is famous on YouTube right now? The show Bizaardvark is where he got his fame and fortune from, and it shows how it affected him after it ended. Not only is the title of this show super weird and bizarre as heck, but it is pretty much a rip-off of iCarly. It is about two girls named Carly and Sam —Frankie and Paige who make “funny” songs and “hilarious” videos on the Internet. See, this is pretty much Disney Channel ripping off iCarly, a better and more clever show than this piece of garbage. The jokes are incredibly awful, the acting is very stilted and not believable, and this is nothing more than a jab at iCarly, which fails so bad.

12 No Donald Duck = No Watch

via: reddit.com

The overall concept of Mighty Ducks feels out of place due to being inspired by an actual hockey team and the live action films. When your cartoon is based on a horrible movie series, then this show was going down the drain without any second thought. There is no connection to them, so the ideas that popped into the writer’s mind was questionable at best. Why would someone make a cartoon inspired by something completely bonkers? Did they want to do it justice or just make a weaker version of Buzz Lightyear of Star Command? Just the transition from sports to science fiction is incredibly intriguing but overall confusing. Thankfully, this show was immediately canceled after its first season and barely got any reruns afterward.

11 Disney's Version Of Pranked

via: tvguide.com

Here we go again with Disney Channel taking ideas and twisting it to make them “original.” This is their attempt to make a reality show with Disney Channel actors pranking people. Oh boy, we have never, ever seen that before on any other channel. Mitchel Musso, a star in Hannah Montana, seems like a cool and likable person in real life, but the overall concept for this to work in Disney Channel really backfires badly. And it did since PrankStars ended up being canceled after Musso was arrested for a DUI, so in a way, it ended before it could get even worse. Despite that unfortunate event, the fact still stands that this reality show is pretty much a kids version of Pranked and Disney should never steal ideas again.

10 Overall Disaster

via: YouTube.com (Disney XD)

The Brothers Chaps, the creator of Homestar Runner, were responsible for Two More Eggs. It might be possible that they had to do a lot of rewrites for this since they do not have full control over this cartoon. Because of that, unfortunately, the jokes are not as funny as Homestar Runner. The shorts are pretty much lifeless and made for the sake of making money, and while the Brothers Chaps were offered to do this, they knew better that this was not their best work. The only good thing about this cartoon is that it is better constructed than the shows on this list despite having no sense of direction. Hopefully, it can end its run soon so the Brothers Chaps can focus more on their better shorts online.

9 Ugly, Ugly, And Ugly

via: YouTube.com (Disney XD Australia & New Zealand)

For Disney standards, Peanut and Pickle looks unappealing. Not to mention, this show is brought to you by the man who created the cartoon Fish Hooks, so you know from a mile away that this show is going to be a chore to get through. The combination of live-action and animation does not work in this case. It is really lazy and looked like it was put together in only ten minutes. Disney XD took a huge risk to air this, and it shows how bizarre this “cartoon” looks. Remember the animation? It is stupidly awful, possibly the worse from Disney. It would be no surprise if Walt Disney was rolling in his grave when this show became green-lighted for millions of people to see.

8 Disney's PowerPuff Girls, Sort Of

via: aminoapps.com

This formula seems all too familiar, does it? That is right because this is just The PowerPuff Girls without the charisma and entertaining aspects of it. But instead of three girls, it is two boys and one girl, because that will definitely make this more relatable to all genders. Even the name is not creative. It may rhyme, but there could have been better names to pick from instead of Teamo Supremo. The colors look dull for a cartoon about superhero kids and it fails to capture our eyes as kids whenever this cartoon would come on Toon Disney. What else is there to say but this cartoon lacks anything interesting, it is unoriginal, and tries to be unique by taking a formula already well-known.

7 Where Is The Plot?

via: youtube.com

Like with the previous entry, this cartoon’s title is very unoriginal and uncreative. Because with the word “butt” will definitely bring kids attention to this generic cartoon. When you think about it, it seems that Disney XD was trying to get together everything that seems cool and dangerous and make it kid-friendly and dull. It feels forced and it shows. Also, it is impossible for a thirteen-year-old boy to have a voice of a grown-up man, so every time the main character speaks, it is very distracting. If there is anything positive to say about this cartoon, it would be the animation being fast-paced and well edited. Kick Buttoswski, however, failed to make an impact on Disney XD, given it only lasted for two seasons.

6 Short-ception

via: youtube.com

Just because it uses the word "short," does not make this intentionally a creative title. Shorty McShorts’ Shorts is Disney Channel’s way of making shorts just to have something on the air. While the main point of this show is to have shorts, none of them seem to connect, which makes this cartoon a jumbled mess. It was no wonder why this cartoon was canceled despite having some episodes unaired in its origin country, the United States. If Disney Channel had nothing to fill in for the next five minutes, they resorted to this cartoon only for the sake of filler. It is funny how its own channel tried to pretend this show never existed. Like with other failures from Disney Channel, it will always haunt the executives for bringing these cartoon shorts to life.

5 Too Many Laugh Tracks

via: chicagonow.com

Out of all the sitcoms on this list, Jessie is the one that seems to try to at least be a good sitcom even though it is still kind of bad. It features The Suite Life on Deck’s Debby Ryan, who stars as the main character who becomes a nanny for the Ross kids. Like with other Disney Channel sitcoms, the kids are irritating, annoying and unfunny. The ironic part of this show is the inclusion of a huge lizard, and other than the main character Jessie, the lizard is arguably the most memorable character of the show. Not to mention, this show uses laugh tracks to death as if we do not know when we are supposed to laugh. Overall, this sitcom is a mixed bag and should be forgotten.

4 Modern Family 0.5

via: disney.wikia.com

The fact that we might never get another The Suite Life of Zack and Cody or Good Luck Charlie makes us sad since they had great characters and interesting plots in each episode. Disney sitcoms nowadays are not relatable and overall cheesy. An example of this is Liv and Maddie. Not only does it steal elements from The Parent Trap, but even another sitcom on this list! Just what is it with Disney stealing ideas, heck, even ideas from their own department? The plot to this is rather generic and does not go anywhere. The twins themselves are so unlikable that they insult people who are not as cool as them. Is that what we need as our relatable and great protagonists? This show can go to the trash can.

3 Not Musically Inclined

via: pinterest.com

Is it me, or is Austin’s hair just as distracting as Donald Trump’s? Whatever that is, the show Austin & Ally is terrible. Austin is incredibly annoying and unfunny whenever he is onscreen, while Ally is a shy and smart girl, but pretty bland overall. They act like they're really talented and tried so hard, but it does not help at all with show’s overall terrible messages, weak jokes, and dull characters. The writers don't know what they were doing while making this show, and it makes this sitcom a huge mess. If you watch one episode and then another, it is pretty much the same episode but with a different location. There is nothing special about this show and it can just be forgotten in the Disney vault.

2 Knock-Off Version Of The Amanda Show

via: j-14.com

The fact that this show sort of continued after Demi Lovato left Disney is rather offensive. The show based off of this abomination, Sonny with A Chance, was cheesy, but it was cute and pretty entertaining for the most part. With So Random!, it acted as if the original show never existed at all. Not to mention, the humor and sketches are pretty awful. It pretty much took the ideas Saturday Night Live or The Amanda Show threw away because it was awful, and make it even worse. The only “good” part of this show is the special guests they would throw in because they would distract us from the horror of the main show itself. The show overall should not have been made and should never have reruns ever.

1 Miley Cyrus' Biggest Regret

via: clevver.com

This show has been a huge part of Disney Channel, and especially with Miley Cyrus’ career. In Hannah Montana, she plays the famous singer as well as her normal self, Miley Stewart. While the show seems harmless in general, it's pretentious and there is a good reason why many people hate this show. Even Miley Cyrus’s father, Billy Ray, admits how much he hated spending time on set and working on the show. At least he got paid for being on a successful show. The music is pretty generic and the songs are pretty ear-grating. For girls who looked up to this show, it is rather insulting. It is strange to think of this, but Miley would have been fine if she just did not have a double life and just be who she is, which is a better message than what this show was trying to get across.
