BAFTA's gaming nominations have been announced, with the biggest titles from 2021 up for awards across 16 categories. While the jury will decide the winners across 15 of these categories, the audience will choose who bags the EE Game of the Year award, and voting is open now.

The nominees in this category are Deathloop, The Forgotten City, Metroid Dread, It Takes Two, Unpacking, and Chicory: A Colorful Tale. Anyone who heads over to the website now and have their say on what title deserves the award, shining a light on games that missed out on other GOTY prizes.

All you need to do is head over to the site and leave an email address. Then, you can have your say in what title deserves to be recognized as the best the year had to offer. I'd say there are no right or wrong answers here, but like, The Forgotten City is right there. And you have to vote for it. It was actually TheGamer's Game of the Year pick back in December, but quite frankly, it deserves every GOTY award out there.

The EE Game of the Year nominees differ from those in the similar BAFTA jury-decided category, the Best Game award. Only two games decided by the audience are in the running for the BAFTA equivalent - It Takes Two and Deathloop. The former has already bagged the big Game of the Year prize at The Game Awards, so it's in a good place heading into the BAFTAs.

To see what other games are set to be recognized at the BAFTAs next month, you can check out all of the categories here. The other awards include best animation, game design, and music. There are also categories to celebrate the best British-made games, as well as the top debut titles from new studios. The winners will be revealed at the ceremony, which will take place next month, April 7.
