Baldur's Gate 3 Early Access is due to kick off for PC players later today - here are the times it will unlock at in each region.

Baldur's Gate 3 has been down a relatively rocky road as far as launching Early Access is concerned. After originally gunning for an August release date, it was instead revealed that a revised launch would be unveiled on August 18. This updated roadmap pointed to a September kick-off, but another delay soon set the game back yet another month, bringing us up to today, October 6.

Fortunately for fans, Baldur's Gate Early Access is going full steam ahead today as planned. As opposed to unlocking at different times in different regions, it's a global launch pinned to the following times:

  • 10am PT
  • 1pm ET
  • 6pm BST

Baldur's Gate 3 is due to launch on PC and will be available via both Steam and GOG. It will also be playable on Google Stadia, and is launching on all three stores at the same time.

If you're concerned about why Baldur's Gate 3 Early Access is priced at $60, you can read Larian's (very understandable) reasoning at the link. Still, you might want to make sure that your rig meets the minimum or recommended Baldur's Gate 3 PC requirements prior to splashing the cash.

For those interested in the intended roadmap for Baldur's Gate 3, it seems that we can expect to be in Early Access for quite a while — you shouldn't expect a full release until at least 2021.

If you haven't got a PC or Stadia, you're not necessarily out of the running either. A recent cross-save update for Early Access hinted at the idea that Baldur's Gate 3 might come to consoles in future, meaning you might not necessarily need to pick up a new PC to tune in to the action.

Baldur's Gate 3 Early Access kicks off today, October 6, at the times listed above. There's no pre-load available, unfortunately, so you might want to run your download through an ethernet capable if you have one.
