February has been an incredibly busy month for blockbuster video game launches. However, the one it feels as if everyone has been waiting years for is almost here. Elden Ring, which has been written with the help of Game Of Thrones author George R. R. Martin, launches on multiple platforms this Friday. Finally, the chance for Souls fans to explore The Lands Between and experience what will likely be FromSoftware's most ambitious game to date.

The wait for Elden Ring has felt so long that simply playing the game when it arrives on Friday almost doesn't feel like enough. If you feel that way, then Bandai Namco is offering 100 players the opportunity to make the game's launch a little more special. The chance to become an Elden Lord or an Elden Lady, complete with an actual plot of land over which you will legitimately be able to lay claim.

Bandai Namco has teamed up with Highland Titles and will make 100 lucky people Lords and Ladies of their own plot lot of land at the Highland Titles Nature Reserve near Glencoe, Scotland. The competition opens this Friday, February 25, 2022, when Elden Ring launches, and will be open for two weeks until 9 am on March 11, 2022. You can nominate yourself to become a Lord or Lady by emailing eldenlord@bandainamcoent.eu, or nominate someone else you think deserves the honor. You can find the full terms and conditions here.

Unfortunately, this isn't the sort of title you can pass down through the generations. When you die, the title of Elden Lord or Elden Lady will die with you. However, you can use the title on legal documents and to impress strangers. Some who have bought or acquired a Highland Title claim it has even earned them upgrades on flights and better treatment in certain situations, so it's worth entering even if you don't plan on playing Elden Ring.

You will be able to visit your plot of land and do whatever you wish with it, within reason. Nothing illegal, of course, and it's a nature reserve for a reason. If the plans for your plot fly in the face of conservation, then you can't do it. It's also worth updating your gamertag and all of your social media handles if you are one of the 100 competition winners. Let everyone know that you are a Lord or Lady of The Lands Between.
