ModernVintageGamer has claimed that Microsoft is planning on reviving Banjo-Kazooie and that it could possibly be seen at tomorrow's Xbox and Bethesda showcase.

While a ton of other platforming mascots have been getting revived over the past few years, there's one iconic bear-and-bird duo that hasn't had a new game or even a hint at something coming since the release of its last game, Nuts & Bolts, in 2008. Considering how popular Banjo and Kazooie are, one of the most popular predictions before any event is that the duo will be returning, although there's a lot more

As reported by VGC, respected content creator and developer at NightDive Studio, ModernVintageGamer appeared on the latest Nate the Hate podcast to predict what might be seen at the Xbox and Bethesda conference. Beyond just naming some of the games we've heard about and talking about how likely they might be to appear, MVG specifically discusses plans for a new Banjo-Kazooie game, something he's heard about several times over the last few months.

ModernVintageGamer said, "Banjo will be at this show, and it will be announced. I have spoken to a lot of people, and I’m not an insider, I’m a developer, but sometimes I hear things and I was at GDC earlier this year and there were some people talking about Banjo. I’ve heard that Banjo’s coming up for months now, from different people. Something’s happening with Banjo, what I can’t tell you is what that is".

After that, ModernVintageGamer said, "I feel pretty strongly that there will be a Banjo announcement at this show, because man, I just keep hearing about Banjo", before continuing to discuss how Banjo-Kazooie could fill the child-friendly content gap that Xbox currently has.

Although there have been numerous rumours about the return of Banjo-Kazooie, the fact that this one comes from ModernVintageGamer, a developer who might actually hear rumblings about this sort of thing, makes it seems a lot more likely. In what format the duo might return in is currently unknown, but we might found out as soon as tomorrow.
