DC Comics is gearing up to celebrate justice’s biggest fan with a global Batman Day later this month. The day is meant to celebrate the masked vigilante’s longevity and impact across multiple entertainment platforms including comic books, films, television, and more. DC has announced that the celebration will include the premiere of a scripted podcast on HBO Max, a brand-new anthology of Batman stories, and a limited-edition comic featuring members of Faze Clan.

As part of the celebrations, DC will be partnering with gaming organization Faze Clan to release a limited-edition comic book. The comic will feature superhero forms for members of the organization like Faze Banks, Faze Apex, Faze Temperrr, Faze Rain, Faze Adapt, Faze Rug, and Faze Blaze. While no other information has been revealed on what the comic will be about, the cover for the team-up has been revealed and shows off the members of Faze Clan in their superhero garb.

This will be the first time a gaming organization has made a comic with DC, although not the first time that Batman and video games have merged. Earlier this year, Fortnite and DC crossed over with a comic book miniseries called Zero Point. Meanwhile, it looks like this is just the beginning of the partnership between Faze and DC. The comic company also announced that limited-edition Batman and Faze merchandise will be released throughout Batman month, including esports jerseys, tees, hoodies, and much more.

Batman Day will also see the release of an original scripted podcast set within Gotham. The podcast, called Batman: The Audio Adventures, will debut on HBO Max and stars Jeffrey Wright, who will be making his debut as Batman in this podcast but will next be seen as Commissioner Gordon in the Robert Pattinson-led The Batman next year. A companion comic to the audio adventure will release sometime after the podcast’s debut.

DC is also releasing a massive 184-page anthology series that will launch globally in 14 international markets, and it features Batman-starring stories from top creative teams across the globe, as well as a ton of other goodies for any Batman fan to enjoy. Batman Day will take place on Saturday September 18, with the Faze/Batman comic launching September 24.
