It appears that EA has launched the Battlefield Mobile beta in select regions, including Indonesia, Malaysia, The Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand. While other regions are soon to follow, pre-registrations have gone live, as the beta will be accessible to more players. The game was announced in April last year, with pre-registrations open to only a handful of regions. Battlefield Mobile has been in its closed testing phase till now.

According to the EA website, this open beta period will give players access to game modes like Conquest, Warpath, Rush, and Team Deathmatch, along with four classes – Assault, Engineer, Support, and Recon (thanks, VGC). "Fans can also see Battlefield Mobile’s versions of beloved maps like Battlefield 3’s Noshahr Canals and Grand Bazaar and can expect to commandeer vehicles such as tanks," said the website. "If you’re new to the series, fear not, the Open Beta will feature a tutorial to help you learn the basics of the battlefield. More content will be added to the Open Beta as we move towards World Wide Launch."

Footage of Battlefield Mobile leaked during the playtest, and at the time, those who had access to it claimed it had way more destruction than Battlefield 2042. However, despite that, it didn't seem like players were all too impressed with the game. In April of this year, we reported on playtesters discussing the game on Reddit. While some comments said that the mobile game was better than its mainline counterpart, others had a bad experience, saying that the graphics were primitive, the anti-aliasing made it impossible to see, and the game lagged even at the lowest settings. However, it must be noted that it was still in its alpha stage at the time and could have improved since then.

On the contrary, a recent sale on Steam resulted in the overall player count of Battlefield 1 skyrocketing. The concurrent player count sat at just under 51,000 players on November 6, 2022, which is pretty impressive, considering the game came out in 2016. The number was almost ten times that of the player count of Battlefield 2042, which launched last year.
