Table of contents

Bayonetta can make anything look good with sheer charisma, but you have to admit that she has certain outfits that stand out. Some outfits in Bayonetta Origins can make Cereza look silly, while others poke fun at our grumpy Cheshire. Other outfits even reference other Bayonetta games or characters in the series.

All the outfits in the game are all stylish in their own right, but some clothes stand out more than others in Cereza's wardrobe. These outfits are attainable in different ways, but they're all worth the extra mile if you're looking for a visual refresher.

10 A Brave Witch

No unlocking or extras are needed; this is Cereza's signature outfit for this game. Even if it's the default outfit, it's unique for this installment, and it features the adorable Umbra Witch in training in her element. Her cat-ear hairstyle tops the outfit off nicely and proves that she's been taking care of her gorgeous locks even in her younger years.

Even if you don't get to unlock the other clothes available in the game, you'll never be out of style. It's not a Bayonetta game without your favorite witches in fashionable clothes, after all.

9 A Pesky Demon

Cereza and Cheshire had a rough start, and this outfit just turns Cereza into her stuffed cat companion. What better way to annoy the demon summoned against his will than to sport an outfit that looks exactly like him? If not to mock Cheshire, you can't deny that Cereza looks adorable in this outfit.

It just takes every Moon Pearl you can muster to unlock, though, so it won't be an easy article of clothing to get a hold of. But it's all worth trying for if you're looking for something else to do in the game.

8 Observer Of Time

Still not over Cereza's wispy-looking, pixie-cut hair from Bayonetta 2? You're in luck because Observer of Time is available in this game, and you'll be able to wear it after completing the game on hard mode. The only difference this time is that she looks like she has short hair, but it's actually in two thin twin-braids.

Going through the game again shouldn't be a problem, even if it's a little harder. Much like in Bayonetta 2, the plot revolves around Cereza saving somebody dear to her—so it will feel on brand for her to wear these clothes while saving somebody once more.

7 The Right Eye

The Right Eye costume from Bayonetta Origins

If you've played the previous game and feel confused about why this outfit is called The Right Eye, you have a good reason to feel this way. Hideki Kamiya himself said that this was a mistake.

After completing the game at regular difficulty, you'll gain access to this outfit and the outfit menu. Naming errors aside, this fashion choice will never be a mistake since it's Cereza's signature outfit from the first Bayonetta game.

6 Arch Eve Origin

Bayonetta 3 fans rejoice since the Arch Eve Origin costume is basically Cereza from Bayonetta 3. Cereza lets her hair down with this outfit while traversing the Avalon Forest, and, as the outfit says, she longs to be united with her true prince.

You can acquire this cute outfit after completing Jeanne's Tale, a side quest you get to unlock after completing the main story. If the outfit isn't enough to pique your interest, the story behind Jeanne and Cereza's uncanny friendship might be your convincing factor.

5 An Elegant Swan

An Elegant Swan Costume from Bayonetta Origins

Nothing says let's dance more than the Elegant Swan outfit of Cereza. It's a glaring reference to Swan Lake and possibly the witch Odette. This isn't the first time Swan Lake has been referenced in the Bayonetta games, but this outfit is an explicit tribute to Tchaikovky's ballet.

We're used to seeing Cereza look extravagant and show-stopping, but her Elegant Swan outfit makes her look elegant and graceful. By freeing all the wisps in Avalon Forest, this outfit could be yours to dance in.

4 Mad Hatter

What's Alice in Wonderland without the Mad Hatter? If you're going to get Cereza to look like Alice, you might as well put Cheshire in cosplay as the Mad Hatter. The resemblance is sort of there if you factor in the hat and the few tufts of hair sticking out.

You can acquire this outfit by opening all the chests in Tír na nÓg. In case you missed a few, it's worth going through again if it means Cheshire can get his hat and cape.

3 Cereza In Wonderland

When you think about it, Cereza did wander into the Avalon Forest, like how Alice fell into a magical world. The only difference is that Cereza is the daughter of a powerful Umbra Witch, and she didn't wander aimlessly. The difference in the plot shouldn't stop you from having childlike wonder, though.

But like in Alice in Wonderland, time is a massive factor in the story. It's not surprising that you will have to beat gold for all 12 time trials if you want to have this outfit, but it's a great addition to have nonetheless.

2 Charles

Charles costume from Bayonetta Origins

If you can change things up as Jeanne, you can't have Cheshire with you. You'll have Jeanne's stuffed cat, Charles, instead—also known as the better-made stuffed cat. That doesn't really change Cheshire's fussy personality, though, so it's all cosmetics—and you make Cheshire look slightly like a unicorn with that green horn.

Consider this a reward for unlocking the Jeanne skin after playing through her side quest. It's a nifty outfit for Cheshire nonetheless, and it's a pretty good deal to get two outfits, even if you're aiming for just one.

1 Jeanne

Jeanne costume from Bayonetta Origins

When are we getting a game about Jeanne? Hopefully soon, but until then, you can dress up as Bayonetta's friendly rival in this game. This outfit changes how you control the character, so you can consider this as more of a character change and less of a costume change.

You'll be fighting Jeanne style in this outfit, and you can get it by playing through Jeanne's Tale as a side quest. Aside from getting to play Jeanne with this outfit, getting to know Jeanne a little better is also worth all the trouble.
