Bayonetta 3 became somewhat of an internet legend, a game promised to be coming by PlatinumGames that not a lot of people put much stock in. Is it real? Is it really coming? That was all put to rest when a new trailer debuted, showing off Bayonetta's "best hairstyle yet." Ever since then, fans have been celebrating in a variety of intriguing ways.

One such fan posted some art on Reddit that takes Bayonetta's new look and splices it with the art style of Persona, giving us a glimpse at what a crossover between these two worlds would look like.

They also shared their artwork on Twitter where it blew up, becoming their best-performing piece of artwork on the platform. In the comments, you can find them geeking out over Bayonetta 3, giddy at the prospect of release: "Have you seen the theories that it's actually a little Cereza grown-up and not our usual [Bayonetta?]"

Bayonetta and Persona have already crossed over to an extent with both Persona 5's Joker and Bayonetta's Bayonetta having appeared in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the all-stars fighting game from Nintendo.

You can have 'em beat each other up in the expected slapstick action. Aside from that, there's not much else in the way of collaboration.

Bayonetta 3 is finally here and it's a Nintendo Switch exclusive hurtling toward the finish line, currently in the home stretch phase of development. It's due to launch in 2022.
