Beat Saber’s beat-slicing arenas aren’t for the faint-hearted. It’s no secret that this excellent rhythm game can be challenging. Climbing your way through the difficulties always feels rewarding, and with Beat Saber taking you from Easy to Expert+, there’s a track and map out there for every player.

For the seasoned slicer, though, getting a perfect combo on Expert+ is the ultimate goal. Not only will you earn your place on the leaderboards, but bragging rights will be yours to take home, too. If you want to head straight to the top, just turn on ‘No Fail.’ These tracks are ranked on the highest number of blocks or ‘beats’ there are per track on Expert+ mode. Custom tracks are not included in this list.

Updated November 14, 2021 by Victoria Pheasey: Beat Saber is the gift that keeps on giving, and with new DLC music packs from Skrillex and Billie Eilish, you’ll be able to slice your way through some brand new maps. New beatmaps bring new challenges, and there’s two more tough tracks flying into Beat Saber’s Hardest Songs for you to get your sabers stuck into.

12 It’s Time: Imagine Dragons: Motivational Both In And Out Of The Beatmap

A Red Beatsaber Slices Through A Block In An Imagine Dragons Beatmap

Imagine Dragons was the first band to have its own DLC back in 2019, featuring Bad Liar, Believer, and more. However, It’s Time certainly proves the most difficult out of the ten tracks featured. The punchy intro will get you pumped up for the rest of the track, even if it is more on the mellow side. Really, it's outrageous that Friction wasn’t included, but hey, there’s always custom content and wishful thinking.

It's a song that you subconciously know — it's just whether you can keep up as, surprisingly, it has the lowest BPM of the hardest tracks. It's Time is consistent throughout, holding a marching-like rhythm with both track and blocks.

Song Details:

  • Blocks: 1031
  • BPM: 105
  • Pack: Imagine Dragons (DLC)

11 Oxytocin: Billie Eilish: Love Can Be A Challenge

Billie Eilish's Oxytocin beat map in Beat Saber

The moon may be shimmering beside the clouds above, and the waterfall that cascades inside the map may appear ethereal, but don’t let this idyllic view fool you. It’s rather unforgiving. As Billie’s soothing voice echoes around the chamber, you’ll be dodging 120 obstacles and 24 bombs.

Your changing surroundings will aid your slicing, as lasers come out of the clouds to play and a glittering moon quickly shifts to blood red. It’s a stunning map to cut through, that’s for sure.

Song Details:

  • Blocks: 1090
  • BPM: 125
  • Pack: Billie Eilish (DLC)

10 Shiawase: Dion Timmer: Moving The Goalposts

Beats Fly Through The Goal Posts In Beat Saber

Canadian Label Monstercat teams up with Rocket League in this DLC, bringing five tracks straight from the pitch to the arena (and bolstering this indie title's fantastic soundtrack even further). Orange and blue blocks illuminate the smoke-filled stage, but don’t let the visuals distract you – this track can be rather unforgiving.

There are numerous side slicers in this map, so keep the space around you clear to avoid knocking things over in the real world. With only 18 obstacles to dodge, your main focus is where it needs to be: on those pesky blocks.

Song Details:

  • Blocks: 1102
  • BPM: 150
  • Pack: Monstercat x Rocket League (DLC)

9 Burning Sands: Boom Kitty: A Frighteningly Fast Piece Of DnB

Beats And Obstacles Ahead In Beat Saber

Boom Kitty offers a creative track with various influences, not losing his signature style. Make sure to bend those knees, as you’re in for quite the assault course: there’s a lot of ducking and dodging, and that's just on Normal mode.

The start of the track is rough; the blocks fly towards you at an unbelievable speed and there's no intention of them slowing down. The middle-eight towards the final drop in the song is by far the toughest part - purely due to how much your arms are probably burning at this point. Still, think of the workout you're getting as you play.

8 Party Rock Anthem: LMFAO (Feat. Lauren Bennett and GoonRock): Shuffling Your Way To A Full Combo

Party Rock Anthem Set In An Underground Garage In Beat Saber

Even on Normal, LMFAO’s most popular track will have you sweating. The multi-genre DLC from Interscope Records features a new environment set in a dimly-lit underground parking garage, relying on you to light the way with some exceptional strikes. Party Rock Anthem’s beatmap will have you dancing between slices on any difficulty.

It's common for this map to change block placement regularly, so be wary of where you'd usually strike. Both Sky Blu and Redfoo's first verses are undoubtedly the challenge here, but towards the end of Lauren Bennett's verse, it's walls and bombs galore.

Song Details:

  • Blocks: 1269
  • BPM: 130
  • Pack: Interscope Mixtape (DLC)

7 Overkill: Riot: When Tron: Legacy and Skrillex Collide

Lasers and fireworks in Beat Saber

Monstercat’s first pack for Beat Saber features 10 high-energy tracks from their own artists. This one starts off a little slower, with its synths welcoming you into the map, but soon amps up the difficulty with some heavy dubstep. Definitely an experience that deserves the immersion of headphones.

Drumming towards the drop of the track is far more challenging than when it arrives. It's almost obscene how many notes fly towards you at once. The main focus during the drop is taking as many breaths as you can and avoiding obstacles.

Song Details:

  • Blocks: 1308
  • BPM: 174
  • Pack: Monstercat Vol. 1 (DLC)

6 New Divide: Linkin Park: Certain To Bring The Feels And The Pain

Linkin Park's New Divide Beatmap In Beat Saber

Featuring the late and much-missed Chester Bennington, Linkin Park’s DLC offers eleven of their greatest hits. Each track brings fond nostalgia, as you smash through several of the band’s anthems. The DLC features a tunnel location with their artwork scattered around the map. Faint and One Step Closer tear through the beatmaps, but surprisingly, New Divide surprisingly offers the most challenge. Don't fear, you'll have plenty of opportunities to slice your way through one of Mike Shinoda's unforgettable flows.

This beatmap is obstacle heavy: there are 162, in fact. Your sabers will practically transform into drumsticks as you slice to the beat. Chester offers a few moments of respite as he delicately sings the opening bars, so utilize them wisely.

Song Details:

  • Blocks: 1367
  • BPM: 118
  • Pack: Linkin Park (DLC)

5 Ragga Bomb (Feat. Ragga Twins): Skrillex: Feeling The Burn

Skrillex's Ragga Bomb beat map in Beat Saber

It’s a match made in heaven and Skrillex’s DLC certainly brings chaos. The DJ’s pack brings many playable favourites, yet Ragga Bomb undoubtedly reigns supreme when it comes to difficulty. You may be bomb-free for this one, but what it lacks in explosives, it makes up for in obstacles. There’s 127 littered through the map and although it sounds doable, adding these into the mix of a high BPM and beat count proves for a work out.

Its map is a raver’s dream with quite the laser show, yet you’ll be far too busy slicing away to take them all in — and feeling the burn. But look at it this way, you can pretty much go clubbing in your living room, in your pajamas - a win-win.

Song Details:

  • Blocks: 1530
  • BPM: 174
  • Pack: Skrillex (DLC)

4 MIC Drop (Steve Aoki Remix): BTS and Steve Aoki: Burning The Stage

j-hope In MIC Drop's Beatmap In Beat Saber

It was only a matter of time before these K-Pop powerhouses brought the heat. These 12 songs are sure to make any BTS fan pick up the sabers. MIC Drop doesn’t let up from the start, so don’t let the pulsing lasers and animated BTS members that pop up distract you from that combo.

The block count may not appear that daunting, but this is the most obstacle-filled track. With an eye-watering 360 walls to dodge and 92 bombs wanting to ruin your chances for that top score, it's crucial that you're ready to get out of the way when the timer hits 3:52. When RM wishes you 'Good Luck,' make sure you take notice: you'll need it in those final 90 seconds.

Song Details:

  • Blocks: 1574
  • BPM: 170
  • Pack: BTS (DLC)

3 Angel Voices: Virtual Self: Not So Sweet And Innocent After All

Red Block Is Sliced In Beat Saber

Grab yourself some water for this one before you pick up your controllers. Angel Voices brings a map filled with beat-heavy blocks, only offering a few moments to catch your breath. With over six minutes of absolute chaos, it’s a song worth giving yourself a pep talk for.

Around two minutes in, make sure to enjoy every wall, as these sections are almost beat free. As the main melody picks up, heading towards that drop gets a little treacherous. Thankfully, it builds, so you're able to at least keep up to begin with.

Song Details:

  • Blocks: 1681
  • BPM: 166
  • Pack: Extras (Base Game)

2 Spin Eternally: Camellia: Certain To Get Your Blood Pumping

Beat Saber Bombs Fill The Map

Camellia’s maps are renowned for being the toughest to complete. When hovering over one of his songs, you’re aware of the challenge. His maps on Normal difficulty are quite the experience, however completing a track on Expert+ from the DJ is something that any Beat Saber player strives for. However, in comparison to another of Camellia's maps, this one is child’s play when it comes to blocks.

In terms of bombs, however, the mappers didn't exactly want you to succeed. With an absurd 235 littering the map, you'll need to keep your wits about you throughout.

Song Details:

  • Blocks: 1746
  • BPM: 222
  • Pack: OS Vol. 4 (Base Game)

1 Ghost: Camellia: Beat Saber’s Final Boss

Fireworks blast in the map in Beat Saber

Managing to come out of the other side of Ghost’s map should earn you some kind of medal. Taken from the DJ’s first solo pack outside of regular features, Camellia has certainly stepped it up a notch. Adding almost 1000 more blocks than any other Expert+ track in the library, this one's challenging beyond any other.

You're faced with almost 9 blocks per second in this Beat Saber battle royale. Different DnB drops get thrown at you to hack at, yet on the lead up to said drops, it's chaos. If you can get through this, you can get through anything life throws at you.

Song Details:

  • Blocks: 2726
  • BPM: 220
  • Pack: Camellia (DLC)
