The holidays are closing in real fast. Scary fast. That means there's only a few days left to secure those presents. GameStop knows this, and maybe even depends on it, which is why the massive retail chain started its "Game Days" series of sales.

The idea is that, for the middle of December, GameStop runs a series of sales on par with its Black Friday offerings. It becomes the last chance for consumers to pull the trigger on those big gifts, with the temptation of savings tempting them to do so. But does it work? 2019's Game Days Sale definitely makes a great case for GameStop.

This year's Game Days holiday event starts on December 15 and lasts right up until the 25th. The deals offered apply both online and in store, with GameStop offering free shipping on online orders over $35. The company also shared exactly what is on sale, and we picked out the best deals to share with you.

Consoles

GameStop's Game Days console deals are very similar to its Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals. That's good for anyone who still wants a Nintendo Switch. The handheld hybrid comes with a $30 GameStop gift card upon purchase. That might be enough to buy the first game if you get it used.

PS4 and Xbox also get deals, although they're not quite as amazing. A 1TB PS4 with God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn and The Last of Us is on sale for $249.99. A 1TB Xbox One X Limited Edition comes with NBA 2K20 for $349.99.

Conversely, you may be thinking about trading in your console for some extra holiday money or to save up for next year's reveal of PS5 and Project Scarlett. If you do it during Game Days, you'll get an extra $50 trade-in value.

Game Software

The games are where the deals get better. First and foremost is Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order for $44.99. The game was still pretty new during Black Friday weekend, so it didn't see big discounts. This could be your first chance to grab it on sale and give the Star Wars fan in your life something special.

The other software deal of note is "up to 50% Off on Nintendo Switch Video Games." GameStop doesn't specify which games in the presser. It could be all Nintendo Switch games having some amount of discount, or just a bunch of older titles going on sale to clear the shelves. Either way, Nintendo games rarely go on sale so it's worth looking into.

Other Stuff

It wouldn't be a GameStop sale without some kind of Funko POP! discount. And indeed, you can get three regular size POP! figures for $25. Select board games are 40% off, in case you're looking for a casual tabletop gift. Even PC gamers get some love with a 40% discount on Logitech, Corsair, and Razer items.

Last minute shopping can be stressful, but GameStop might just have what you need. Be sure to check the full Game Days Ad to see what else is on sale.
