Every collectible card game has a series of decks that seem to outshine the rest. Some are arguably overpowered, whereas others are seemingly useless. Luckily, in Legends of Runeterra, there are a fair amount of decks that will keep success under your belt.

It's worth mentioning that mix and match is an advised strategy to play and that each deck build will work with someone due to their playstyle and knowledge of the game. While there are certainly some decks that are better than others, it all depends on the playstyle, the skill, and what kind of game you're playing.

8 Fate

Legends of Runeterra Fate Deck

While Fate isn't exactly known for its power and perhaps doesn't live up to a few overpowered decks, it's a great mid-range powerful set that will surprise you if you have the skill and flexibility to work with this interesting set. It would also make a great deck for those who like buffing and using heavy units that pack a sizeable punch.

It's recommended to be flexible throughout this deck as each use will provide a different outcome. Luckily, that's what makes Fate so exciting to play. It quite literally lets fate decide how you play.

7 Arachnophilia

Legends of Runeterra Deck Arachnophilia Champion

Focusing primarily on summoning and buffing, Arachnophilia is an exciting deck that does very well as a damage-based deck as well. It's almost the best of multiple worlds and will be a wonderful adaptation from any other spider decks you may have tried.

One of the best parts about this deck is its ability to last throughout the game. Some cards seem to drop off the power scale as you get to tougher enemies, this deck doesn't. The only issue it has is the damage output as a whole. The Arachnophilia deck is a strong start but the damage doesn't hold up if that's the primary focus. It'll get some enemies down and do what you need it to do, but it isn't the highest damage deck in the game.

6 Bandle Burn

Legends of Runeterra Deck Bandle Burn

While summoning and buffing can be an extremely useful tactic in battle, the Bandle Burn deck is primarily for those people who just want to be as aggressive as possible. It's ideal for hitting everything you can and doing it as quickly as possible. Due to this most of the units are relatively cheap and weak at the start, making it a risky game.

That being said, this is a great deck to play if you don't mind a little risk for a lot of rewards if you survive long enough.

5 Iceborn Spider Queen

Legends of Runeterra Deck Iceborn Spider Queen

As one of the most popular decks currently, the Iceborn Spider Queen set is particularly powerful and brings a new meaning to underdogs and unexpected power. It's a starter deck that prides itself on keeping the fun in Legends of Runeterra while still bringing the damage and destruction many know and love.

One of the biggest problems with certain decks is their continuous power. Often a deck will be powerful at the beginning of the game but fade out later on. The fact that this one doesn't do that is what sets it well above the rest.

4 Yordles In Arms

Legends of Runeterra Deck Yordles In Arms

Who doesn't want to play an army of Yordles who can just wipe out almost any enemy you come across? Especially since the Yordles in Arms deck provides so much lethal damage that allows you to really get into the deck and experiment with other aspects.

Ultimately, it's one of those sets that is quantity over quality. That isn't to say the Yordles aren't good, it's just the kind of deck that prioritizes magnitude over power, making it a really fun element to explore in battle.

3 TF Fizz

Legends of Runeterra Deck TF Fizz

At the release of this deck, Fizz was relatively unpopular. However, not long after, the TF Fizz deck quickly became one of the most powerful creations in Legends of Runeterra. This was mainly due to the fact that you would be able to level up both champions while still being able to do an impressive amount of damage to the enemy, forcing them into a corner they would struggle to get out of.

It's entirely likely this deck will be more nerfed than it has already been, but either way, it's well worth trying out, purely for the fun factor and the raw power.

2 Azir Irelia

Legends of Runeterra Deck Azir Irelia

As one of the more popular decks currently on Legends of Runeterra, this one you just have to try - especially if you like doing some high damage and playing rather aggressively. All that combined with the support of Azir will make you a force to be reckoned with.

One of the most popular aspects of the Azir Irelia deck is its consistency. It will keep allowing you to do some impressive damage all while guaranteeing you the power this deck really holds. It's a joy to play.

1 Championless Undying

Legends of Runeterra Deck Championless Undying

While this does come with some unfortunate limitations, the Championless Undying deck is easily one of the most talked-about and powerful decks in the history of Legends of Runeterra. This is interesting considering the lack of champions.

Nevertheless, this deck proves you don't need a champion to succeed due to the pure damage the other aspects are capable of. The Championless decks were so powerful that they even introduced a new rule for tournaments, forcing players to only have one deck without champions. It's incredibly overpowered so if you get the chance to use it, you should.
