Genshin Impact currently has a roster of over 40 playable characters to choose from, with more added each update, and all of them have their perks on and off the battlefield. Many are fast and powerful hitters, but how many are ready to walk the runway for Mondstadt or Liyue?
The outfit is rarely vital for survival in battle — characters such as Amber have holsters and straps for weapon storage — but when they’re adorned with colorful, breathtaking clothes it makes watching them fight way more entertaining. Some characters choose subtle fits, while others go full-on flashy, sometimes to their fashionista detriment.
10 Kaeya
A Cryo-user from Mondstadt, Kaeya is quintessentially tall, dark, and handsome. To reflect his Elemental inclination he dresses in shades of blue, complete with the bad-boy blue hair — and an eye patch!
As the Calvary Captain of the Knights of Favonius, however, his wardrobe is also suave and sophisticated while maintaining his rough fighter image. His neck has a fur draped over it, and his boots and belt appear to be quality leather, bringing together the look.
9 Diluc
Diluc is the red-and-black polar opposite of his little brother, Kaeya. A Pyro-user and Nobleman of Mondstadt, he owns and operates the Dawn Winery he inherited from his father. He wears his long red hair in a ponytail, and wears a classic white button-down with black skinny pants, and a long dark coat over the top of it all.
To showcase his affluent background, he also has fur elements to his wardrobe, as well as a ruby at his neck.
8 Zhongli
Zhongli is a Geo-user with dark hair and a long, two-toned trenchcoat — black and brown on the outside, and yellow on the inside. He too has a gem at his neck, yellow to represent his Geo Elemental use. His look is completed with dark pants and gloves, giving him a sleek and mysterious look.
His appearance lends itself to his career as a consultant to the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor, as well as his powerful status as the current vessel for the god Morax.
7 Kamisato Ayato
The Head of the Kamisato Clan, Ayato is a Hydro-user, as well as the Yashiro Commissioner. The Yashiro is a spy-like organization full of highly skilled fighters, though Ayato’s all-white and blue wardrobe doesn’t scream discreet.
Essentially an overly ornate white tuxedo, Ayato wears a three-piece with blue edges and a vest to create a dashing and wealthy-looking appearance. His icy blue hair and eyes, along with his fair complexion, round out his outward show of class and status.
6 Jean
Contrary to her little sister Barbara’s bubbly and girly attire, Jean wears androgynous white pants and a white, blue, and red corset, with tall white and gold boots. A navy blue cape finishes out her militant look, fitting for her position as Acting Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius.
She’s one of the few Anemo-users (like the Traveller you play as), and comes from a long line of privilege and heroism in the Gunnhildr Clan. This lineage of purity is showcased best by her white outfit and light blonde hair.
5 Lisa
This Electro-user and mage wears a deep purple corset-dress slit on either side from the hip down, showing her lacy stockings. The cherry on top of her racy and shocking outfit is her purple witchy-looking hat, a tongue-in-cheek way to show off her status as the most powerful magic-user to graduate from the Sumeru Academia in over 200 years.
Her personality is as saucy as her wardrobe, often quipping suggestively to patrons of the library she runs for the Knights of Favonius.
4 Ningguang
Ningguang is the Tianquan of the Liyue Qixing, meaning she’s the keeper of the god Morax’s ancient laws. She's also the landlady of the massive, floating Jade Chamber that hovers high above Liyue, the setting for the Archon Quest ‘The Floating Palace’.
She represents her Elemental skill of Geo through splashes of yellow on her white dress. She has long white-blonde hair that she ties partially atop her head with a spiky hairpin. Ningguang’s overall look is one of elegance mixed with ease, giving off classic supermodel vibes.
3 Beidou
Another Electro-user, Beidou is the Captain of the Crux, a well-known fleet crew in Liyue that protects the waters around the city. Her red eye patch, cape, and open-style dress over black stockings and knee-high boots project a vibrant and dangerous pirate vibe.
With her long dark hair, Beidou is a feisty and modern woman with as much sex appeal as independence. Enemies will see how fierce she is before she ever has time to leverage her first attack, and you’ll admire her beauty before, during, and after the battle.
2 Yelan
A Hydro-user from Liyue, not much is known about Yelan. She’s in the Ministry of Civil Affairs, allegedly, and despite limited knowledge, her art card shows off a highly fashionable lady.
She wears a short and revealing dark blue dress with lacy sides, and strappy knee-high boots. A fur coat is draped over her shoulders, and her dark hair is a messy asymmetrical bob that makes her look like a punk scene girl.
1 Mona
Another Hydro-user, Mona is an astrologist who is as proud as she is skillful in her work. She fled her master after reading their journal, and currently lives in Mondstadt where she fits in as an eccentric and beautiful citizen.
Like Lisa, she gives off witchy vibes with her hat, and wears a somewhat racy purplish-blue leotard with lace stockings. Her outfit is so iconic that she’s often the likeness cosplayers choose when dressing as a Genshin Impact character.
