This week, we’ve seen some remarkable features from TheGamer. To start, you can read about how Ash actually became a Dad in Pokemon Heroes or how Kena: Bridge of Spirits filled a void left by Breath of the Wild. In Pokemon Heroes, Ash Smooches Latias And Becomes A Dad

Associate editor, Eric Switzer, has been revisiting past Pokemon movies each week, with this week’s pick being Pokemon Heroes. Eric gives an overview of the movie’s plot that describes how Pokemon Latias has disguised itself as a real girl, Bianca, who develops a crush on Ash. We see them developing a romantic connection throughout the movie, which ends with Bianca planting a kiss on Ash’s cheek. But then Eric hits us with a dose of shocking suspiscion—the baby Latios in the sky at the end is actually the result of the kiss exchanged earlier between Latias and Ash.

Kena: Bridge Of Spirits Is The Breath Of The Wild Game I Always Wanted

Editor-in-chief, Stacey Henley, describes her relationship to Breath of the Wild as disappointing. Though she tried her best to get into it, she couldn’t help but quit hours in each time. Stacey explains that, though objectively Breath of the Wild is the better game, Kena: Bridge of Spirits was more fun. She will always think of Kena as the Breath of the Wild game she always wished she’d gotten.

Life Is Strange: True Colors Understands The Sudden Shock Of Grief

News editor, Andrea Shearon, wrote about how Life is Strange: True Colors handles grief in a way not many games do. Instead of inserting a convenient time-skip after the death of Alex’s brother, Gabe, the game thoroughly explores the aftershock dealt with by Alex and Gabe’s loved ones. Andrea relates these experiences to losses in her own life and how much she appreciated the ability to explore Alex’s grief in a personal way, by going through Alex's phone and belongings as opposed to forced conversation with others.

Actually, Yusuke Is The Best Persona 5 Character

A poll went up recently about who the most popular character is from Persona 5. The results, shockingly, showed that Joker takes the cake. Lead features editor, Cian Maher, wrote about how ridiculous this is, and why Yusuke is actually the best character. Cian admits that, though Yusuke has some issues when first introduced, he is the greatest character once he signs the contract with Goemon. Yusuke is insightful, quirky, and everything you should be looking for in a favorite character.

Learning A New Sports Game Feels Like Learning A New Language

Contributor, Josh Coulson, explains how he has always been into FIFA and decided to branch out this year to play NBA 2K22. He explains that he thought it wouldn’t be terribly difficult to learn a new sports game, but going from practice in NBA 2K22 to actual games was infinitely more difficult than he anticipated—comparable to trying to learn a new language. Josh points out that this may have gone a lot smoother if he’d pick up the game when he was younger, but trying to jump on board the NBA 2K22 train now may just be a dream.
