9 The Golden Saucer - Final Fantasy 7

For fans of big family-oriented resorts, The Gold Saucer from Final Fantasy 7 might be the perfect destination for you. It’s hard to find more excitement than a huge amusement park in the sky. Not only are there clearly plenty of things to do, but there are tons of things to see as well.

The location has something for everyone. A horror-themed hotel for those that love some scares, an entire theater show, tons of various games or rides to try out, and of course, a fighting arena for those who fancy themselves as tough.

8 The Destiny Islands - Kingdom Hearts

Destiny Islands

There may seem to be a lot to do on The Destiny Islands, but it would still make a great place to head for a cozy tropical getaway. There are plenty of great places to lounge around, and many fans of the series would probably be excited to try out a Paopu Fruit.

Everyone could use some time to sit back and enjoy the sounds of the waves on a quiet island. And clearly, for those that feel creative, there’s plenty to do. A close group of friends on a trip to the island may find themselves building a makeshift raft for fun.

7 Touissant - The Witcher 3

Geralt rides toward Touissant.

People who’d love to experience ancient architecture, castles, and fascinating cultures would be right at home in Touissant, especially if those same people are lovers of wine. While the entire territory oozes an ancient atmosphere, there is a seedier side to be explored.

People already vacation to different areas in order to go on lengthy wine tours, so it’s hard to imagine that those people wouldn’t love doing something like that in a land that is practically dedicated to wine. There’s also plenty of history to learn for what could be a more mature and rewarding vacation.

6 Altissia - Final Fantasy XV

Final Fantasy XV Altissia

Who needs to go visit historical cities when you could cruise around the canals of Altissia in a gondola? The city is one of the more comparably modern locations from the Final Fantasy series thanks to the narrative of the game, which should make anyone feel right at home.

Staying in at The Leville for a shockingly low price is something anyone can get behind. After a long day at the market stalls, you could head over to the Maagho restaurant to try out some Altissian cuisine.

5 Lake Hylia - Twilight Princess

You could pick almost any version of Lake Hylia for an incredible getaway. While the lake is occasionally void of much civilization it’s hard to argue that a great place to camp would be right along the shore.

Of course, it would be best to pick a scenic and somewhat safer version of the lake, so Twilight Princess’s Lake Hylia would be a great choice. Not only is it huge, but there are other people taking residence in the area, so it’s not entirely isolated.

4 Toad Town - Mario Galaxy

Sometimes a getaway doesn’t need to be tropical or ancient, but instead a bit cozier. Few people talk about the Tales series, but even fewer talk about the understated beauty of Flanoir. The beautiful snowy city is exactly the type of place anyone would hope for if they vacationed in Canada for the winter.

It is just a rather simple town, but it’s the overall atmosphere and uniqueness of it that makes it appealing. People love to vacation somewhere cool for a snowboarding or skiing trip, and a place like Flanoir would make that easy as you enjoyed the daily snowy sights and friendly villagers.
