In a rather bold statement, Io Interactive is naming Sapienza the best Hitman level ever created and giving it away for free. As part of the Hitman Spring Pack, players are now able to download the entire Episode 2 level Sapienza on their PC, Xbox One, Or PlayStation 4. It’s not just the Sapienza content, either, as the Guru Elusive Target is also coming back. This seems like a great tactic to bring new players into the game, as well as maybe entice some relapsed Hitman fans.

The only caveat to the deal is that players have to download Sapienza by April 3rd or lose out on the opportunity. Once it’s downloaded, however, it remains a permanent part of the game.

This download of Episode 2 includes the whole package, as vg247 confirms. That includes the main story mission World Of Tomorrow, over 100 challenges, 20 levels of Mastery that include weapon and item unlocks, and seven achievements or trophies to earn. There’s also Escalation Contracts, Featured Contracts, and Challenge Packs.

Starting on March 23rd, the Guru Elusive Target was also added to Sapienza. This is a once-in-a-game challenge that places a special hit somewhere on the map. The challenge with these targets is that they don’t appear on the map or with Instinct. If the player should finally track them down and let them get away, the target disappears forever. No second chances, no maybe next times. While this might seem like the kind of hardcore challenge a player would want to go for right away, new players are encouraged to practice with the story missions first. Only the most skilled assassins will be able to find and take out Guru.

Look, there’s not much else to say on this one. This is an excellent level from an excellent game. The best, even, according to the people who made the game. And it’s available right now for free! There’s no reason not to download it, unless of course you’re a Hitman fan who already bought the Game Of The Year Edition. In that case, carry on, and feel free to laugh at the new players as we comically fail at getting Guru.
