Since Mortal Kombat first hit arcades in 1992, it has continued to develop a large fanbase that eagerly awaits news on the latest game every few years. Fans have been aggressively killing each other in more and more brutal ways with the recent release of Mortal Kombat 11, and with news that James Wan's Mortal Kombat film is finally entering production, there are more reasons than ever to celebrate our love for the fighting franchise.

With all of these avenues to explore our love for the Mortal Kombat franchise, it makes sense that there would obviously be an equally amazing market of collectibles to help further enjoy the franchise some of us have been playing for our entire lives. So today we are going to take a look at some of the best Mortal Kombat collectibles coming to your display case soon.

10 MY FIRST FATALITY T-SHIRT

Amazon

While a T-shirt may be pushing the limits of the collectible term, the fantastic design of the "My First Fatality" shirt is both unique and hilarious, making this shirt a must-have for any MK fan. The shirt features MK favorite Sub-Zero holding a disembodied head in true Mortal Kombat fashion.

The image is a part of the familiar trend that sees adult themes like horror films, and in this case video games, represented using the imagery of children's books. Like similar imagery used in this fashion, the "My First Fatality" shirt offers up a light-hearted take on the graphic deaths that have become such an iconic part of Mortal Kombat. Plus, it looks really cool.

9 SHAO KAHN STATUE

Sideshow

No shrine of Mortal Kombat characters is complete without the main villainous force behind the gathering of our favorite fighters. Shao Kahn has been the driving force behind the Mortal Kombat tournament, and his hulkish figure is perfectly detailed on his throne of death, surrounded by his iconic weapons and the skulls of his enemies.

The rule of Outworld sits largely on his throne in this Pop Culture Shock release. The 1:3 scale statue is made from polystone and sits at 35" high with a sculpt from PCS' Jerry Macaluso. The sculpt is available for pre-order now and is the perfect addition to any Mortal Kombat fans collection.

8 KITANA FUNKO POP!

Amazon

While not as detailed and grandiose as some of the other collectibles on this list, Funko Pop! has excelled at making cute figures of all of our favorite pop culture characters - including Mortal Kombat. And while cute may not be the word most commonly associated with MK, it definitely works for the Kitana Funko.

Kitana is the Princess of Outworld and adopted daughter of the evil Shao Kahn, though she fights on the side of good against her adopted father. This Kitana Funko features the character in her light blue Mortal Kombat x outfit, complete with her half-masked face and displayed fans with the deadly spikes that make such an effective weapon in the game.

7 MILEENA STATUE

Sideshow

The warrior known as Mileena is the cloned sister of Kitana, though her DNA was mixed with that of a Tarkatan soldier, alien warriors enslaved to Shao Kahn. This tainting of Princess Kitana's blood resulted in a mostly identical looking clone, though Mileena shares one crucial physical difference.

Her mouth, while usually hidden by her half-mask, is filled with the razor-sharp teeth of a Tarkatan. The 1:3 Pop Culture Shock Mileena statue features the character in her Mortal Kombat X costume, complete with a removable mask that reveals her vicious teeth in all their sculpted glory.

6 LIN KUEI CYBORGS

Sideshow

Arguably one of the more well-known organizations in the Mortal Kombat universe is the Lin Kuei clan, who were a team of ninja assassins. The most famous of their brotherhood is undoubtedly Sub-Zero, though after he left the group they decided to improve themselves by becoming cyborg ninja assassins.

Cyrax, Sektor, and Smoke were the first three assassins to undergo the process, (some willingly and some not), and therefore they share a similar look, with slight differences in weapons. Pop Culture Shock has assembled all three cyborg characters into one pack so collectors no longer have to choose which of their favorite cyborgs to add to the collection!

5 SUB-ZERO FUNKO POP!

Amazon

We've seen a couple of different characters go by the name of Sub-Zero in the games, though the version is seen in Mortal Kombat II and beyond is generally known as Sub-Zero II, or Kuai Liang. Liang is the younger brother of Bi-Han, the first Sub-Zero, who was killed and later resurrected as the fan-favorite character Noob Saibot.

None of that information is actually needed to enjoy Funko Pop!'s Mortal Kombat X figure of Sub-Zero. This version of the character (Kuai Liang) had just regained his human form after being turned into a cyborg in a previous installment. Again, not really relevant to the figure but a testament to how deep the Mortal Kombat mythology can sometimes dive.

4 SCORPION STATUE

Sideshow

Of course, when it comes to Mortal Kombat, you can't have Sub-Zero without Scorpion. These two ninja-clad assassins have a rivalry that goes back years and has been the focal point of their story in many games. Scorpion was an undead ninja assassin of the Shirai Ryu clan named Hanzo Hasashi, locked in an eternal quest for revenge against Sub-Zero.

The Pop Culture Shock statue features the Mortal Kombat X version of the character, who has recently regained his humanity, leading to a much different Scorpion than fans were used to. The quarter-scale figure features an LED lava base with a dynamic pose that stands at 21" tall and would make a fantastic centerpiece to any fan's collection.

3 GORO ACTION FIGURE

Amazon

During the early days of Mortal Kombat, the biggest and baddest character next to big boss man Shao Kahn was undoubtedly the four-armed human-dragon hybrid known as Goro. Goro was the undefeated champion of the Mortal Kombat tournament for years and has remained a constant figure in the ongoing mythology of the franchise.

Storm Collectibles has released a 1/12 scale action figure of the popular MK character. The Goro figure is fully articulated with custom-designed arms, two interchangeable heads,  and six pairs of interchangeable hands, making this Goro a customizable and poseable addition to your Mortal Kombat collection that also won't break the bank too much.

2 SUB-ZERO BUST

Sideshow

We've already discussed the history of one of Mortal Kombat's most popular characters, which should help make this bust of Sub-Zero in his Mortal Kombat (2011) costume all that more enticing. Not only is it exquisitely detailed using hand-sculpting and actual in-game 3D models, but it comes on an icy base for maximum display potential.

Pop Culture Shock's life-size bust of Sub-Zero stands at approximately 30" and is hand-painted, which allows fans to get a close-up look at the detail on display with this fantastic bust. This might just be the best way to celebrate your love for the only character that has appeared in every single Mortal Kombat game as a playable character.

1 RAIDEN STATUE

Sideshow

Finally, the God of Thunder makes an appearance with a fantastically detailed statue from Pop Culture Shock and Sideshow Collectibles that perfectly captures everything that makes Raiden such a fan-favorite character. Raiden is one of the first seven playable characters who appeared in 1992's Mortal Kombat, and he has been a mainstay of the franchise ever since.

The 28' quarter-scale figure features Raiden in his Mortal Kombat II costume, complete with electrical energy effects that really make this statue stand out among a shelf of other collectibles. Raiden has never looked better as he defends Earthrealm from the evil of Shao Kahn in his eternal struggle to defend the planet.
