Pokemon, like people, come in many shapes, sizes, and shades that make each one stand out as vibrant individuals. Shiny or not, some Pokemon stick out from the pack with a brilliant rainbow of colors, perfect for celebrating their Pride this month.

With almost 1,000 different Pokemon on the current roster, there is no shortage of unique color palettes to admire and celebrate. While there's an excellent myriad of options to choose from, some Pokemon show off a special, shining kaleidoscope of color that would make any Queen blush. Whether they come in several unique forms or one fabulous color scheme, these rainbow Pokemon slay their colorful competition.

10 Deerling — A Color For Every Season

Deerling mirrors their real-life counterparts with a wonderful coat of fur for every season. Deerling comes in four forms that emulate Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter, with noticeable changes to its accents when these forms are shiny. Despite being one of the most forgotten Pokemon, Deerling's varying colors are unique and memorable.

The base forms spice up their standard brown, orange, pink and green coats with bright hints of pink on their flowers when each one is shiny — a uniform, but appreciated change to their standardized color schemes. While each form only has about three main colors, these four forms come together to personify the beauty of seasonal color changes and create a rainbow of their own.

9 Tsareena — Grass & Glamour

Pokemon Anime Tsareena uses Sweet Scent making the air sparkle.

Tsareena has made its name as one of the most popular Grass-type Pokemon in the entire series. While different subsets of fans have fallen in love with Tsareena for their own reasons, all Pokemon fans can agree that Tsareena is fierce and fabulous. Tsareena may look sweet and delicate, but she can knock her opponent out in a flash if you take her lightly.

Tsareena's pastel red, green, white, and yellow palette combines to give her an elegant, but intimidating appearance. If you are lucky enough to find her shiny form, prepare to be blown away by the darker but equally vibrant mauve and purple, that replaces the white and dark pink of her base form. Tsareena is a rainbow Queen that dazzles in all iterations.

8 Keldeo — The Original Rainbow Unicorn

This Mythical unicorn Pokemon may have a monochromatic body, but its glorious mane gives Keldeo a unique accent that makes its design pop. Once this fearsome fighter enters Resolute form, Keldeo's mane glows bright red, bursting with green, orange, and blue hair tufts and a large blue horn.

Few Fighting-type Pokemon stick out as anything other than large, hulking brutes with dark, matte palettes, but Keldeo completely flips this convention on its head. Unlike fellow Fighting-types Machamp, Throh, and Sawk, Keldeo's bright, pastel colors give it an unusual look and make it one of the most recognizable rainbow Pokemon in the series.

7 Sylveon — Eeveelution Colorblast

This Fairy-type Eeveelution has one of the most simple, beautifully soft, pastel color schemes across both its shiny and regular forms. Sylveon's light pink and baby blue accents pair perfectly with the elegant white color that gives Sylveon its marshmallow-like appearance.

While it doesn't have the same series of brilliant, varied colors that others do, Sylveon's Pixilate makes its Normal attacks turn Fairy-type and sets off a beautiful explosion of color as it attacks. Her signature Dazzling Gleam brings a beautiful rainbow to any battle, as this cacophony of color wows foes and spectators alike.

6 Vivillion — A Pattern For Everyone

Vivillon floats and glimmers.

Much like Deerling, Vivillion is a form-based Pokemon — and perhaps the most infamous one at that, as it boasts 20 unique patterns to collect based on your region. On the sheer variety of colors alone, Vivillion is easily the most decorated Pokemon, with some patterns coming with enough colors to make its own rainbow.

When viewed together, these butterflies offer one of the most incredible collections of colors and patterns you will ever see. Perhaps the saddest thing about Vivillion is how difficult they are to collect. Hopefully, one day there will be an opportunity to catch all forms of Vivillion in one game on your own, as they are one of the most satisfying Pokemon collectible sets ever made.

5 Comfey — A Colorful Flower Crown

One of the many Pokemon based on flowers, Comfey sticks out as one of the most vibrant and memorable due to its beautiful palette of colors and adorable design. This floating flower veil's actual body is the small green and orange bulb with a face and green eyes, and which holds a link of flowers in tow.

Comfey actually collects its own flowers using the vines on its body, so theoretically the pattern and colors of the flowers would change depending on where the Comfey found them — making this flower Pokemon all the more special. Don't let its pretty petals fool you though, as Comfey will throw its flowers at you if you get too close.

4 Galarian Rapidash and Ponyta — Keldeo's Successors

Galarian Rapidash in Pokemon Camp from Pokemon Sword & Shield

Galar's version of a rainbow unicorn definitely leans heavily into the majesty and grace of a unicorn, and slightly less on the rainbow part. However, Galarian Rapidash thematically focuses on the power of rainbows with its ability, Pastel Veil, which protects it from poison, as well as using its brilliant Dazzling Gleam.

Galarian Rapidash's purple and blue perfectly fit its darker black horn — which further fits the rainbow theme as black is said to be the result of all colors combined. Rapidash is a worthy successor to Keldeo as the newest rainbow unicorn, so for now it will reign as the protector of Pokemon and pastels alike.

3 Flabébé, Floette, & Florges — A Field Of Flowers

Flabébé, cute Pokémon in XY

Perhaps the most colorful flower Pokemon in the game, this beautiful blossoming trio is not short on pigments that pop. Their base forms alone are enough to tick every box on the tone checklist, and their shiny versions — especially Florges' brilliant blue color swap — are breathtaking.

On top of the incredible palettes, each Flabébé also comes with its own set of forms — orange, white, yellow, blue, and red — which expands the variety of colors you can find them in. With five sets of starting colors and incredibly intricate and detailed shiny evolved variants, enough can simply not be said about these beautiful floating blossoms.

2 Xerneas — The Reigning Rainbow Deer

Xerneas' blue, black, and white fur give way to their beautiful rainbow-colored antlers, shining bright and bursting into color with every Geomancy. As the antithesis to Yveltal's world of darkness and suffering, Xerneas uses their incredible antlers to shine brightly as a beacon of beauty in the cold world.

This fabled deer watches over the forest and all of its creatures, protecting them with four sets of polychromatic antlers. They have the power to save Pokemon petrified by Yveltal, and can even bestow eternal life to those it deems worthy. Xerneas perfectly exemplifies the power behind rainbows to overcome any darkness in the world.

1 Ho-Oh — The Rainbow Pokemon Rises

Ho-Oh flies across the sky in the Anime with a Rainbow in the background.

Pokemon, like people, are more than what they appear, each possessing a unique set of abilities and potential. Ho-Oh personifies this idea perfectly as the Rainbow Pokemon, imbuing its beautiful red and gold feathers with the power of rainbows to create the fabled Rainbow Wing.

This powerful mythical Pokemon is rumored to possess the ability to grant life to those who have passed. However, Ho-Oh only reveals itself to those who are pure of heart, leaving behind vibrant rainbows as it flies through the sky. These rainbows are said to bring eternal happiness to those who see them, showing that Ho-Oh's mystical feathers reveal more than just a blast of color to the beholder.
