Final Fantasy 7 Remake came out over a year ago, but Square Enix gave fans plenty of reasons to play it again recently with the PS5 re-release, Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade. Along with numerous improvements to the graphics and gameplay experience, it also came with a new DLC chapter starring Yuffie Kisaragi.

This JRPG is a masterfully crafted reimagining with a ton of side quests to engage with. They are only available during the chapter where they are found, but you can thankfully do them later using the chapter select option. Be sure to do the ten ones listed below, as they are the best of the best. These also include quests from Yuffie's story.

10 Fort Condor

The main diversion from the main story in the DLC chapter is the Fort Condor minigame. It takes the tower defense side quest from the original PS1 game and turns it into a board game. There are numerous challengers to take on and it feels great to go through the ranks until reaching the end. It makes us wonder how the actual Fort Condor will be handled in the next chapter of the remake saga.

9 Corneo's Secret Stash

This quest tasks the party with gathering three keys to open gates throughout Midgar in order to unlock a secret stash. It is fairly extensive and involves some smaller quests as a part of the grander operation.

You get Corneo's Key from Kyrie, the lovable con artist who shows up throughout the journey. There are a bunch of items to loot from these, including accessories named after the Weapon enemies fought throughout the series.

8 Shinra Combat Simulator

The Shinra Combat Simulator in Chapter 17 of Final Fantasy VII Remake

It's not a JRPG if there is not a colosseum of some sort. First, there is Corneo's colosseum, but later on, you unlock the Shinra Combat Simulator. Here you fight through waves of different enemies until reaching giant bosses. Some of the hardest bouts in the game are here. Yuffie's DLC also has its own set of bouts within the Shinra Combat Simulator. It is also a great way to grind experience and materia levels.

7 A Verified Hero

whack-a-box ff7

This quest unlocks after completing the Kids on Patrol side quest. The Whack-a-Box game has Cloud slashing through a bunch of boxes for points. It is easy at first but obtaining the highest score requires a specific strategy. You earn various prizes depending on how well you perform. Yuffie's DLC chapter also has a form of this minigame. Because she plays differently, you need to employ a different strategy while using her.

6 Lost Friends

This one is not for everyone but it is irresistible to anyone who loves felines. One of Marlene's friends needs help finding three of her cats and you simply have to look around the area and obtain them. Cats have always been an integral part of Final Fantasy 7's aesthetic, so it makes sense for them to get their own side quests. All you get for it is a maiden's kiss item, so really it is more special for the fact that there is no combat and it really is just experiencing a small slice of Midgar life.

5 Malicious Goons

This quest is admittedly uneventful until the very end. At first, you simply track down some of Corneo's troops and fight them. Only afterward do you encounter the Tonberry. This seemingly innocent creature is usually fought in the series in the endgame dungeons. The Tonberry shows up a little earlier in this title and acts as a boss. Even though the gameplay is different in Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Tonberry retains many of its signature moves.

4 Happy Turtle Flyers

There is only one section in the DLC chapter where you are able to roam freely about an area and complete side quests. One of the main things to do here is collect flyers for the Happy Turtle for the merchant. You earn two special materia for completing this quest. The quest itself is an homage to a similar objective from the original PS1 game, only on a smaller scale.

Chocobo Sam from final fantasy 7 remake

Chocobo Sam is a different type of Chocobo breeder than Final Fantasy fans are used to. He is a little more off-putting.

Still, he is not above asking Cloud for help recovering three runaway Chocobo throughout Midgar. Once you find them, you will be able to use Sam's services to fast travel through Midgar for free. The game world is not that big, but this quest will definitely save you a lot of time.

2 The Power Of Music

After the Sector 7 plate comes crashing down, Betty takes it upon herself to try and raise people's spirits through music. Cloud and the party have to find several specific pieces of music to help the refugees of the cataclysmic event feel better. Once you find these pieces of music and play them in front of the right people, the results are typically sweet and comedic. Where else in gaming can you see an old man in a suit dance like a madman?

1 Wavering Heart

The button mashing section in the pull-ups challenge of Final Fantasy VII Remake

Wavering Heart has Tifa compete in a pull-up competition. The minigame works similarly to the Squats done earlier on in the adventure. The inanity of taking time out of your important mission to do some exercises makes this quest all the more enjoyable. The timing minigame becomes progressively more difficult as different challengers approach. Defeating Shinra can wait; pull-ups come first.
