The Stanley Parable is a game all about how different choices lead to different endings. With endings that are sad, funny and mind-bending, there is such a variety of emotions you can go through while finding them all.

With the promise of even more endings arriving with the announcement of the Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe Edition, fans are eagerly waiting to experience them through their favourite button-pushing Stanley. Although the decisions begin at a simple 'left or right', The Stanley Parable's endings can range from stopping a mind-control facility to just hanging out in a broom closet. Here we look at the best ones.

10 The Whiteboard Ending: Luck-Based Office Equipment

Whiteboard Ending Text Written On A Whiteboard In Stanley Parable

As one of the simpler endings (but a definite favourite), The Whiteboard Ending is purely based on luck. Similar to an Easter Egg, The Whiteboard Ending is certainly memorable to those fortunate enough to come across it.

As it is based on a Random Number Generator, sometimes you will spawn into a blue office where door number 426 can be opened. Once open, a whiteboard greets you bearing the phrase "Welcome to the... WHITEBOARD ENDING!" and you will then be one of the elite players who got to experience it.

9 Serious Ending: Cheaters Never Prosper

The Serious Table In The Serious Room Stanley Parable Ending

In the Serious Ending, one of the more hidden ones, players can turn the lovably sardonic narrator into a very disappointed parent. Experience the Narrator sternly telling you off as you are sentenced to remain in the Serious Room for a hundred billion trillion years.

Requiring you to enter "Sv_cheats 1" in the console, you are teleported to the so-called Serious Room where the Narrator tells you how many tables he searched for in order to find the most serious one before he sentences you to your punishment for cheating.

8 Escape Pod Ending: No, You Haven't Broken The Game

This ending requires you to back out of the boss's office at the very last second before the doors close on you. In a frighteningly quiet journey back to the start, the Narrator has seemingly disappeared and all you can do is begin to head back to Stanley's office.

As you back-track in eerie silence, the door to the left of Stanley's office is open and you have to ascend a huge flight of stairs until you reach a mysterious looking red pod.

7 Heaven Ending: Buttons, Glorious Buttons!

Although requiring the most resets and a fair bit of work, the Heaven Ending has a hilarious pay-off. Needing Stanley to inspect and interact with computers belonging to employees 419, 423, the secretary, 434 and, finally, Stanley's own (in this order) after resetting each time.

After you do all the inputs, Stanley is transported to 'Heaven', where he is greeted with a revolving wall of multi-coloured buttons, a place that he can truly feel at peace with.

6 Not Stanley Ending: Say Goodbye To Stanley And The Fourth Wall

The Stanley Parable Adventure Line In The Not Stanley Ending

Being completely and utterly meta, the Not Stanley Ending pushes the boundaries of the Stanley Parable. After taking the cargo lift (in the warehouse) and entering the furthest room, the Narrator will ring the phone and tell you that your wife is on the other end.

But, if you unplug the phone, the Narrator will realise that you aren't Stanley, but a real person. Soon you are treated to a hilarious infomercial all about choice and have to, again, choose between doors to your left and right. The left ends with the Narrator calling you a coward and the right involves you destroying all of his hard work.

5 Out Of Map Ending: The Ultimate Fake-Out

Choice After Getting Into The Window Ending In Stanley Parable

No ending is more deceptive than the Out Of Map Ending (also referred to as the Window Ending). After leaving Stanley's office, you are required to 'glitch' onto the desk in the next office by pressing into the chair, getting on top of the desk and finally out of the window.

The Narrator will then mock you for thinking that you managed to get out of bounds and then consequently praise himself for thinking two steps ahead. Laughing at the fact that you're stuck, the Narrator will refuse to help you and begins to sing about how stupid you were.

4 Museum Ending: An Inside Look

This ending simply requires you to follow the Narrator's instructions but, instead of going to the Mind Control Facility, follow the Escape sign. Moments before you meet your demise, a female narrator will soon take over and freeze time.

Stanley is transported to a white museum with elements of the game's Beta and original versions along with changes that never made it to release. It's a great way to get an insight into the development (and an even better way to avoid death).

3 Games Ending: Outsmart The Narrator

Iconic can't even begin to describe how great the Games Ending is. Requiring the player to enter the blue door three times in the warehouse (after taking the lift onto the catwalk), the player is able to corner the Narrator.

Forcing the Narrator to think on his feet, as the map 'isn't finished', the Narrator is forced to use someone else's game in the meantime. You and The Narrator soon travel to Minecraft, Portal and the original concept version of The Stanley Parable.

2 Confusion Ending: Wait, Where Did Stanley Go?

To get this ending you need to take the door on your left and walk through the maintenance room. While inside the maintenance room, take the elevator; this route will confuse the Narrator on where you are and how you got there. Deciding you should just restart, the Narrator then starts a side-splitting ending.

After you reset, the Narrator realises that everything has gone wrong and introduces hilarious features like The Stanley Parable Adventure line in order to try and keep you on track. Finally, the Narrator realises the Adventure Line is wrong and eventually stumbles onto the Confusion Ending room, deciding to break the cycle.

1 Art Ending: The Best Things Come To Those Who Wait

Art Ending Stanley Parable Playing The Baby Game

The Art Ending is one that is truly a challenge and requires the most work. Drop off the warehouse lift, walk across the catwalk and then through the blue door three times. Follow the Narrator's instructions and play the "Baby Game". Prevent the cardboard cutout baby from crawling into the fire... for two hours straight.

After this, the Narrator will commend your effort and introduce a puppy you have to prevent from being eaten by piranhas. After another two hours, the narrator will welcome you to the Essence of Art. There, Stanley is greeted by an entity calling itself the Essence of Divine Art and is spoken to in a cryptic language until it fades to white.
