Some video games have much better hair customization than others. The best hair customization includes many choices colors, highlights, lengths, curls, and styles. Released in 2018, Sunset Overdrive is an open-world apocalypse game. Do not expect it to be like Bethesda's Fallout series though, it is more colorful and high energy. It has a far more positive outlook on society's end.

As for the hair, there are up to 20 different styles. For colors, there are 16 choices and you can differentiate the colors between the base and highlights. Unlike some other titles have even more choices, Sunset Overdrive stands out for its range of BIPOC hairstyle attention.

NBA 2K is a basketball sports video game, and love went into the character hair details. They have a wide range from straight, curly, dreadlocks, puffy, and afro designs. Not only do you decide hair length within each style, but you can also determine where the hairline sits.

This level of detail is not expected of sports games, so NBA 2K really outdid themselves.

Black Desert Online is famous for its detailed character creator. In terms of hair, it has a ton of choices. However, it can overwhelm some players. There are not really puff or afro styles, which is a serious issue considering its fame for customization.

Punk hair galore! Cyberpunk 2077 certainly had its issues with glitches and bugs, but its hair designs were a treat in its character customization. The game manages to give these options while also having choices for players who want their character to look a little more old-fashioned.

Along with all this, there are different textures of hair available.

3 Guild Wars 2

Female character in armor.

Guild Wars 2, like Final Fantasy 14, has plenty of races to choose from and that partly decides what hairstyles you get to pick from as well. Unlike Final Fantasy 14 though, the game has more BIPOC hairstyles and on top of that . . . some pretty fabulous beards for the men.
