One of the most fun elements about Fortnite is collecting and purchasing all of the different skins that are available. Ensuring that you look as cool as possible while you roam the battlefield is an essential part of the game for many, which is why the developers have worked hard to push as many out as possible.

Whether it be working with certain holidays like Christmas or Halloween or the game teaming up with an IP such as Star Wars. Fortnite works hard to pull in fans and keep them coming back for more.

However, with so many skins now being available in the game, it was inevitable that a few wouldn't be as good as others. So in this list, we will take a look at the five best skins available, alongside the five worst.

10 Best: Raven

Out of all the skins available on Fortnite, the Raven is certainly the most popular. This is one that you will often see popping up throughout your time playing the game, and there is a reason for that.

This is a brilliant skin that is dark and sinister, but also just looks incredibly cool at the same time. It has plenty of nods to a Raven bird itself with the feather, while the glowing eyes certainly make this a very creepy skin at the same time.

This occasionally appears in the Cash Shop, costing 2,000 V-Bucks to purchase, but that is a rare moment when that happens, so if you see it then snap it up.

9 Worst: Cuddle Team Leader

Cuddle Team Leader is another skin that is quite popular within Fortnite, perhaps because it is just so unique. However, it isn't one of the nicest skins available as it does just look totally bizarre.

It is almost similar to the bear that gets blown apart in Breaking Bad, with the eyes staring off into nothingness in opposite directions. It's the creepy version of the Easter Bunny, but not in a funny or nice way.

Another major issue with this skin is the fact it's bright pink and has a huge head which makes you an instant target on the battlefield. There is no blending in with this particular outfit, so choose it at your own peril.

8 Best: Crackshot

You might think that bringing the world of the Nutcracker into Fortnite would be a fun festive idea, yet the Crackshot skin is an incredibly creepy one, as you can see within the photo above.

However, that's what makes it so incredibly fun. If you want to spook your opponents as you roam around then this would be the ideal option. It's a holidays exclusive, so if you don't have it now then you'll be waiting until next Christmas.

Thankfully, it's worth the wait with the candy cane and incredibly detailed skin being one of the absolute best available within the game right now.

7 Worst: Tomato Head

While Tomato Head does allow players to dress up as the mascot of Uncle Pete's pizza from Tomato Town (which was removed in season seven), that doesn't mean that this is a great skin.

In a similar way to why the Cuddle Team Leader is a poor choice, the large red tomato is a major target to other players. It allows you to be easily picked off from distance and makes it impossible to blend in.

While it's a fun skin for younger gamers, those who are a little older are more likely to go for a more detailed skin that suits a battlefield a little more.

6 Best: Battle Hound

Just take a look at the skin, how can people not be desperate to get their hands onto it? The gladiator style look is one of the most popular skins and one that really suits the Battle Royale game to perfection.

It has an old-school feel that will make many fantasy fans or Game of Thrones enthusiasts happy. The signature helmet with glowing eyes is eye catching and really does just look incredibly cool.

It pops up for purchase every now and then, although that will set you back 2,000 V Bucks in the cash shop, so if you have the money to spend then this might be the perfect option.

5 Worst: Merry Marauder

While we have already had one creepy festive skin on the best list, the Merry Marauder sadly doesn't have the same cool vibe that the Crackshot skin offers to the game.

This just feels like a skin that would have been better as a happy festive gingerbread man, rather than being creepy for the sake of it. However, even though his face is odd and doesn't quite go with the outfit and feel of the skin, that's not the worst part.

The worst bit about this skin is the fact that it is impossible to tell if it's supposed to be clothes or a legitimate gingerbread man. Some parts of the skin look like baggy clothes and others seem to be natural, with this one needing a little more work.

4 Best: Thanos

Fortnite has done an amazing job working with major IP's during its existence, but the best skin to come from any of those partnerships has to be Thanos. At the time the MCU villain was all anybody could talk about, so bringing him and the infinity gauntlet to the game was a great decision.

Thanos was incredibly popular with gamers doing everything they could to get the chance to play as him, proving that the decision to bring him in was a wise one.

Few skins have ever been as impactful or widely talked about than Thanos, which makes it comfortably one of the best to have appeared in the game.

3 Worst: Renegade Raider

The Renegade Raider was a skin that could be earned all the way back in season one of Fortnite, which is likely why it doesn't compare very well to some of the better options that have come since.

While there is nothing truly wrong with this particular skin, it is just incredibly basic and a little boring, which is one of the reasons it has never been popular with gamers.

However, this is now a very rare skin due to how old it is and the fact that people didn't really like it when it was widely available.

2 Best: Ice King

The Ice King skin was a reward for players who hit the coveted Tier 100 in the wintery season seven Battle Pass and it is an incredibly cool one. The skin has a real Game of Thrones feel about it, being similar to the White Walkers in a way.

It just looks like a character that you wouldn't want to mess with as it appears to be insanely terrifying, which is exactly what you want to come across as. Striking fear into your enemies as soon as they see you.

This is one of the most detailed skins that has been created. With the icy hands and the laser style eyes, it really is an amazing looking skin that pops out of the screen.

1 Worst: Rabbit Raider

Just take a look at that skin, it's nightmare inducing. For a game that is targeted towards a younger audience with its vibrant colors, this is an incredibly odd skin to include as it is actually horrifying.

The blend of child-like innocence with the bunny rabbit aspect being combined with the horror of the hockey mask and Easter eggs turned into grenades is quite a lot to take in with one skin.

This is one that most gamers will likely take a hard pass on as it is quite frankly horrendous, and there are many better skins to invest in.
