Some of the most peculiar Pokémon are Grass-type. They come in different shapes and sizes and can be part-plant and part-Pokémon. It is often difficult to discern the difference between Grass Pokémon and a plant.
The Pokémon listed below are some of the worst and best Pokémon in the game. Having a dual-type Grass Pokémon is critical for trainers. It can be a drawback to use Grass Pokémon because of their many weaknesses, including Flying, Poison, Bug, Ice, and Fire. However, If used properly, Grass Pokémon can change the tides in a trainer showdown.
10 Kartana (Best)
This Pokémon was introduced in Generation VII, making its first appearance in Pokémon Sun and Moon. Kartana is an exceptionally powerful Pokémon that is considered to be one of the Ultra Beasts, an extradimensional Pokémon from Ultra Space.
The stats and moves of Kartana make it a desirable Pokémon. At level 1 it learns moves such as Sacred Sword, Vacuum Wave, and Air Cutter. At later levels, Kartana can learn Leaf Blade and the one-hit KO move Guillotine. It's recommended to teach this Pokémon TMs since it has high stats, but a less robust learned moveset.
9 Tangela (Worst)
Its blue vines are like spaghetti. We know what Tangela looks like when it is covered in vines, but it is unknown was Tangela looks like under its vines. Tangela could be round or some other shape since it is impossible to tell. One can find Tangela in grassy plains. To catch Tangela has a low difficulty level. Its most powerful move in Generation VII is Power Whip. On the positive side, Tangela received an evolutionary form that was introduced in Generation IV. On its own, however, Tangela is a weak Pokémon.
8 Leafeon (Best)
Leafeon exudes confidence. As a Pokémon that evolves from Eevee, Leafeon is capable of becoming powerful like most of Eevee's evolution forms. To evolve Eevee into Leafeon, Eevee needs to be level up near a Moss Rock. Leafeon is part plant since it has leaves growing out of its body and is capable of performing photosynthesis.
Taking a look at Leafeon's moveset, we can see that it has effective moves like Last Resort, Leaf Blade, Giga Drain, and Sunny Day. By TM, Leafeon is capable of learning some of the most powerful Grass techniques such as Solar Bear and Energy Ball.
7 Bounsweet (Worst)
It's easy to surmise that Bounsweet is not a powerful Pokémon based on its appearance. Introduced at Generation VII, Bounsweet is a Grass Pokémon with a 41.3% catch rate. Bounsweet cannot learn many powerful moves. The strongest move it can learn is Magical Leaf, which has an Attack Power of 60. Even by TM, Bounsweet isn't capable of learning very many strong moves.
Despite being a weak Pokémon, the Alolan people seem to love Bounsweet because of its calming sweet scent. Interestingly enough, Bounsweet's sweat is commonly made into juice.
6 Chesnaught (Best)
Chesnaught is the final form of Chespin's evolution. Quiladin evolves into a Chesnaught at level 36. As a third-stage Pokémon, Chesnaught is capable of taking a large amount of damage due to its high Defense.
Chesnaught can learn moves such as Hammer Arm, Wood Hammer, Giga Impact, and Take Down. Because of its moveset and stats, Chesnaught is considered to be one of the most powerful Grass Pokémon. Chesnaught is not very effective against Flying Pokémon but is powerful against Rock and Water Pokémon.
5 Cherubi (Worst)
Although the Pokémon in the above photo appears to be wearing a bow, Cherubi looks like a cherry, which is why it's classified as a "Cherry Pokémon." The smaller second head on Cherubi is edible, which is why it is prey in the Pokémon wilderness.
When this Pokémon evolves, it turns into a Cherrim. Learned moves such as Petal Blizzard, Solar Beam, and Petal Dance prevent this Pokémon from being the weakest Grass-type. In its base form, Cherubi is an inferior Pokémon because of its low stats. As a Grass-Type Pokémon, it has many weaknesses.
4 Venusaur (Best)
Venusaur is a dual-type Pokémon who is Grass and Poison. This third-stage Pokémon evolves from Bulbasaur, one of the starter Pokémon in Pokémon Blue and Red. You'll notice as this Pokémon evolves, the flower on its back becomes larger and larger. Venusaur knows grass moves such as Solar Beam and Razor Leaf. Venasaur is not the fastest Pokémon, but it makes up for its slow speed with high stats in defense. By using the item Venusaurite, Venusaur can mega-evolve into Mega Venusaur, turning it into an even more formidable Pokémon.
3 Skiddo (Worst)
Don't be deceived by this Pokémon's cute and cuddly appearance; it is one of the weakest Grass Pokémon of all time. It is weak against five elements, so there is a strong chance it will battle while disadvantaged. You can find Skiddo in games such as Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, and Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. By leveling up, it can't learn that many powerful moves. Leaf Blade, which has a special attack power of 90, is Skiddo's mightiest attack.
2 Celebi (Best)
Celebi is regarded as the protector of the Ilex Forest. It is one of Pokémon's legendary/mythical Pokémon. Celebi can be compared to Pokémon like Mewtwo and Mew by its appearance and moveset. This dual-type Psychic/Grass Pokémon would be a good fit for any team. Its most powerful learned moves include Magical Leaf, Future Sight, and Leaf Storm.
After fulfilling a few requirements in Super Smash Bros. Melee, Celebi has a 1 in 251 chance to appear from a Poké Ball. As part of a promotion, Celebi was offered as a bonus for purchasing Pokémon Gold or Silver; players were able to obtain Celebi in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.
1 Cottonee (Worst)
This Pokémon is so light that it struggles to maintain its balance when it is struck by the wind. Unless Cottonee is wet from the rain, making it soggy, it will blow away. Using the wind is how this Pokémon travels between locations. In Generation VI this Pokémon changed from being a Grass-type to a Fairy/Grass Pokémon.
For a competitive Pokémon, do not choose Cottonee. Cottonee has the potential to learn powerful moves like Solar Beam, but it lacks in stats, making it one of the weakest Grass-type Pokémon.
