Fallout London was revealed to the world in June, with an incredibly impressive, triple-A quality announcement trailer. Now, it appears that fans of the series weren't the only ones hooked in, as Bethesda has hired the project's head writer.

The announcement was made in the Fallout London Discord server, explaining that Stephanie Zachariadis - also known by her online handle, Siren - is leaving the project to join Bethesda. As clarified by the project lead, this does not mean the story of Fallout London is changing. The plot is said to be "concrete", and it's just the dialogue that has to be finished.

According to her LinkedIn, Zachariadis is now working as an associate quest designer at Bethesda Game Studios. It is not known what game she is designing quests for, however with Fallout 76 still receiving expansions, it is possible that she has moved over to the series she has been making fan projects for.

As for her work on Fallout London, it is set to bridge the gap between the first two games in the series - albeit in a completely different country. Set in the year 2237, Fallout London takes the series out of the United States for the first time. With factions called The Gentry, Tommies, and the Isle of Dogs Syndicate, it's clear that the mod is drawing upon British culture very heavily.

Fallout London is being built in Fallout 4's engine, but other than that is not likely to have many similarities. Since there's an ocean between London and the source of the Forced Evolutionary Virus (FEV), we won't be seeing any Super Mutants, Deathclaws, or Centaurs. And of course, the iconic Vault-Tec is an incredibly American company, so no Vault Boys either.

Fallout London is still in development, and is on the lookout for more creatives to join the team. If you'd like to get involved, you can send an application via the website.
