Bethesda has revealed that a new Wolfenstein title will be hitting the market in July.

The publishers had kept mum on that front since unveiling Wolfenstein: Youngblood at E3 in 2018 but, this week, they announced that the co-op shooter title will launch on July 26 and will be available for PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

A trailer posted to YouTube on Wednesday tells the story of sisters Jess and Soph, who set out to track down their missing dad, BJ Blazkowicz. Players can either play along with a friend or have an AI substitute as one of the sisters as they challenge a Nazi-run Paris in 1980. Bj, however, doesn't seem like he wants to be found as he likely has something major in the works.

Youngblood gives players the luxury of taking missions on in any order they want to while abilities, cosmetics and gear can be unlocked through role-playing elements. It seems like just the sort of thing you're supposed to get when Wolfenstein devs MachineGames works with Dishonored and Prey creators Arkane Studios.

“This opportunity to co-develop our next installment of the Wolfenstein series with Arkane Studios in Lyon is a great example of how we can be stronger as part of the ZeniMax family,” Jerk Gustafsson, game director at MachineGames, says.

“This collaboration and sharing of our respective expertise has not only resulted in a truly great and completely new Wolfenstein experience, but it has also brought our two studios closer together in a friendship that will be of tremendous value in our continuous efforts to craft beautiful, original and fun video games.”

The basic version of the game is priced at $30 but $40 will get you a Buddy Pass that lets a friend join you on the adventure without having to get their own copy. You'd only be able to hand it to one friend at a time but it can be used as often as you like and with as many friends as you want, as long as you both are playing the game at the same time.

Players joining in via the Buddy Pass are free to upgrade to the full game if they want to play it on their own time.

Pre-order this game to get the "Legacy Pack", a set of cosmetics inclusive of The Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus Jacket Power Suit, BJ’s US Army Power Suit, The Wolfenstein: Old Blood Pipe, The Wolfenstein: Old Blood Knife and a WW2 Weapon Skin Set for all ranged weapons.
