Final Fantasy 9 Remake Might Be In The Works

After the wonderful Final Fantasy 7 Remake, who wouldn’t want Square Enix to give Final Fantasy 9 the same treatment? Well, the latest word is that such a game might just be on the horizon. In case you missed it last year, the GeForce Now database leak revealed several Square Enix titles that wound up being confirmed as upcoming releases. The developer downplayed the leak at the time, calling some of the titles purely "speculative," but later had to backtrack on the matter. So, does this mean that we might be getting Final Fantasy 9 Remake? Maybe.

Hideo Kojima Originally Wanted Solid Snake To Keep Pet Rats In Metal Gear Solid

Hideo Kojima’s original vision for Solid Snake in Metal Gear Solid was apparently that he would have pet rats. "The rats were a way of adding reality to the game and to create the atmosphere within the base,” Kojima said shortly after the game was released. “Soldiers eat food and they have leftovers which attracts the rats.” The designer went on to say that he wanted to “assign names to individual rats and these rats could then be raised as pets. Alaska is a very cold place and when Snake first goes into the base, the rats are the first life forms he encounters, so I think they're a very important element in the game."

Elden Ring Players Restore Cut Content That Lets You Get People Drunk

The dataminers Lance McDonald and Sekiro Dubi have discovered some cut content in Elden Ring that would have let you get people drunk. There was apparently going to be a monk by the name of Reeling Rico that would have given players an item called St. Trina’s Crystal Ball before sending them off to collect a substance known as Dream Mist from sleeping creatures. Having collected enough of this, players could return to Reeling Rico at which point they would be given bottles of Dreambrew, an alcoholic beverage that allows you to “uncover someone’s deepest, darkest secrets.”

Riot Games Attracts Anger From Workers After Lifting Vaccine And Mask Mandates

Riot Games just lifted its mask and vaccine mandates. The company has also been calling its employees back into the office. As you might expect given the circumstances, workers have been taking this rather badly, prompting many to speak out against the shift in policy. “I'm angry over it,” said an employee at the company. “It's a foolish and pointless policy being done at a poor time and being handled without real guarantee of our safety. We're just playing Russian Roulette with Rioters’ health.”
