It’s been yet another day full of big announcements, and it doesn’t look like the big news is going to stop throughout the rest of February. That’s because PlayStation announced today that a new State of Play will take place this Thursday, which will focus on Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, third-party titles, and some new PS VR2 games.

New Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League Gameplay To Be Revealed In Thursday's State Of Play
It was rumored that PlayStation was gearing up to announce a smaller State of Play event at some point this month, and a new announcement has now confirmed that. Airing this Thursday, this State of Play promises to give us a closer look at Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, as well as five new PS VR2 titles and some third-party surprises. What they could be is anyone’s best guess, but we only have to wait a couple of days to find out.
Pokemon Presents Confirmed For Pokemon Day, February 27
Not to be outdone by PlayStation, Nintendo has also announced that it will be hosting a Pokemon Presents showcase on February 27. Nintendo is being a little bit more coy about may appear though, although the recent discovery of a Spike Chunsoft copyright on the Pokemon Day website has fans crossing their fingers for a new Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game.
Microsoft And Sony "Not Close" To Any Deal For Activision Merger
Microsoft has been a little bit more distracted though. After announcing it will bring Call of Duty and more to both Nintendo Switch and Nvidia for 10 years, it revealed that it’s still trying to get Sony to put its name on the same deal. Microsoft president and vice chair Brad Smith has stated that he hopes he and Sony can eventually “hammer out a deal”, although recent sources have suggested the two are “not close” to agreeing.
The Last Of Us Episode 6 Accidentally Includes Film Crew In One Shot
The Last of Us has been a pretty flawless show so far, but even the best can make a minor slip up. During the latest episode, it was discovered that a few members of the film crew were accidentally included in the sweeping shot of the snowy bridge, despite their best attempts to stay hidden. Looks like The Last of Us now has its Starbucks cup, although that pesky film crew will likely be edited out pretty soon.

Finally, we have big news for fighting game fans as the lineup for EVO 2023 was announced and it features a bit of everything. Not only will Street Fighter 6 be making its EVO debut this year, but the event will also see the long-awaited return of Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, much to the delight of its fans. The other games that make up the rest of the lineup include Guilty Gear Strive, Dragonball FighterZ, Tekken 7, King of Fighters 15, Melty Blood: Type Lumina, and Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate.
