Stray Mod Adds Local Co-Op On PC
The adorable cat game that everyone has been raving about for the better part of a week, Stray, now has a mod allowing for local co-op. The person behind this pretty impressive little feat of software engineering, KangieDanie, managed to make it all work with a tried and true design approach, splitscreen. The whole thing comes with a few caveats of course. “Only player one can see the HUD, so the others will need to play without the HUD,” KangieDanie notes. “There are moments in the game where the other players are stuck when there is a transition of the level. You can fix this by going back to the main menu and continuing the level again.” KangieDanie jokes that “in summary, it seems that the game wasn't made for splitscreen.”
Steam, Epic, PayPal And Battlenet Have Been Banned In Indonesia
Steam, Epic, Battlenet, and several other gaming services have now been banned in Indonesia. This comes in the wake of some regulatory changes making it much harder to enjoy our favorite hobby. None of these companies have yet issued statements and it remains unknown if they plan to comply with any of the new laws. In any case, people across all of Indonesia have been taking to social media platforms like Twitter in order to vent their frustration. I can't really blame them to be honest.
Artist Accuses Activision Of Plagiarism Over New Call Of Duty Samoyed Skin
Someone recently stepped up with some very serious allegations of plagiarism directed at the developer behind Call of Duty Vanguard, Activision. The soon to be released Loyal Samoyed skin was allegedly copied right out of their portfolio. "I am the original artist that the upcoming Call of Duty Vanguard Samoyed skin was plagiarized from,” the artist Sail Lin said. "Even though I am also a Call of Duty player, I am very disappointed to see my work being plagiarized by a big company like Activision in this way. I have reached out to Activision for an explanation or compensation and hopefully the situation will be settled soon." I for one hope things work out for them.

Sony Won’t Close The Door On Future PS5 Price Increases
Sony isn’t ruling out the possibility of a price hike for the PS5. This comes after several months of supply chain problems that have been plaguing the newly released console. Sony has apparently also been losing money on games. “There were two big constraints that we were imposed with,” Chief Financial Officer Hiroki Totoki said in a statement to investors. “One was the parts and components availability, the other was the supply chain. With the parts and components availability, there are a lot of improvements, so we are very hopeful, quite optimistic about that.” The executive added that “for supply chain disruption, we actually took quite a hit in the first quarter. In the first quarter, hardware volume for sales were quite smaller than we expected at the beginning of the year, so supply chain disruption is something that we hope will be completely addressed.” Now might just be the best possible time to buy.
"SaveMinecraft" Hashtag Trending After Chat Moderation Update
The developer behind Minecraft, Mojang, released an update for the game earlier this week which allows even private servers to be subject to moderation. This of course went over badly with a lot of people in the community. Minecraft up until now has almost always been managed by its players. “Seeing a game I grew up with and loved starting its downfall is extremely depressing,” a player calling themselves Knightfall noted. “This isn't the Minecraft I grew up playing and it shouldn't be the Minecraft kids today are growing up with.” The user also posted a picture stating that “Minecraft has decided to implement a system which can permanently ban players on all servers regardless of the rules on the server. Private servers are no longer private.”
