Terminator Nacon

Terminator Open World Survival Game In The Works At Nacon

I can’t really think of any good Terminator games off the top of my head, but this one sure sounds promising. While there isn’t much to go on for the moment, we know that an open world survival game is currently in the works at Nacon. "The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic open world and features an original story that builds on the events of the official films,” the developer explained. “You play as a group of nuclear apocalypse survivors fighting to stay alive in a time period between Judgment Day and the creation of John Connor’s resistance." Something to look forward to in the future. I'd rather have one without Skynet, though.

Ms Marvel

VFX Artists Are Refusing To Work With Marvel Due To Stress And Unrealistic Deadlines

Similar to the games industry, film and television have been having labor problems for years. The latest development is that many artists working on the Marvel movies have been refusing to work on account of undue stress and unrealistic deadlines. The news comes from a thread on Reddit called "I am quite frankly sick and tired of working on Marvel shows” by the user known as IndependentAd419. "Marvel has probably the worst methodology of production and VFX management out there,” IndependentAd419 said. "They can never fix the look for the show before more than half the allocated time for the show is over. The artists working on Marvel shows are definitely not paid equivalent to the amount of work they put in.” This appears to have prompted several dozen other people to come forward with some horror stories of their own.

A portrait of game director Hideo Kojima in front of a blurred image of Amazon's show, The Boys

Hideo Kojima was recently misidentified as the person who shot Shinzo Abe for some reason. The culprit in this particular case was an activist on the far right who was attempting to attack left wing thought. Kojima was basically caught in the crossfire because he was photographed a couple of times wearing a shirt with a picture of Che Guevara. The eponymous company founded by Kojima has now threatened legal action. "Kojima Productions strongly condemns the spread of fake news and rumors that convey false information,” the company said in a statement. “We do not tolerate such libel and will consider taking legal action in some cases."

GameStop

GameStop Stock Prices Drop Following Mass Layoffs

GameStop has been in financial trouble for quite some time now, but things appear to have hit a new low. The company recently shed another pile of employees in a mass layoff. In case you’re wondering, the answer is of course yes, GameStop remains determined to sell NFTs amidst the ongoing cryptocrash. The latest news on the matter is that stock prices have dropped to their lowest yet in light of these two signs that something isn’t right at the company.

FaZe Clan Members Face Backlash For Blatant Misogyny

FaZe Clan has been in the news quite a bit recently for some worrisome reasons. This time around, Atlanta FaZe which is focused on Call of Duty has been coming under fire for misogyny. Someone apparently posted a “misguided tweet” featuring a picture of all eight male team members with female features and the question “how many drinks to take them home?” Atlanta FaZe later issued an apology, noting that “our entire organization wants to apologize for the misguided tweet posted recently. This is not okay.” The group added that "we understand there is no room for misogynistic or harassing behavior and that women and the Call of Duty community deserve better." According to Atlanta FaZe, "we have addressed this issue internally and vow to move forward in a positive manner for all." We'll see about that.
