Welcome to October, my favorite month of the year. What do I like so much about October, you might ask? Well, that would be Halloween of course. We’re still a ways away at this point, but it’s never too early to stock up on those little candies, at least if you ask me. Who knows? There might even be some left when Halloween comes around. In any case, you’re probably wanting to get caught up on the news and so let’s get right down to it. Today, we heard that Call of Duty cheat makers were slapped with racketeering charges, there might be some DLC for Horizon Forbidden West on the way, and some Titanfall 2 maps could be coming to Apex Legends. These are just our top stories and so read on for the rest.

Call Of Duty Cheat Makers Slapped With Racketeering Charges By Activision

The developer behind the game, Activision Blizzard, has now laid down the law, at least when it comes to Call of Duty cheat makers. The company is apparently trying to charge several of them with racketeering. "Defendants have committed violations of the Racketeering Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act by conducting and participating in an enterprise engaged in racketeering activity,” court documents read. “Defendants work together to continuously sell Cheating Software licenses directly, as well as recruit reseller Defendants. A network of seller and reseller Defendants have perpetuated the same steps as across thousands of instances of marketing, sales, distribution, and support regarding the Cheating Software vis-à-vis numerous separate US customers.” Racketeering by the way is basically organized fraud.

Sonic Frontiers' Intro And Super Sonic Gameplay Leaked

We’ve already gotten a good look at the upcoming Sonic Frontiers over the course the past couple of months, but we’ve now seen the intro, too. Someone apparently leaked a bunch more gameplay footage, bringing the total up to at least a dozen different videos at this point. I always try to avoid spoilers, but if you’re curious, feel free to check these out, they’re apparently pretty interesting.

Horizon Forbidden West DLC Hinted Via Guerilla Job Listing

There could be some DLC for Horizon Forbidden West on the well, horizon. That is if a new job listing is to be believed. "Guerrilla’s Character Art team is a multifaceted group of artists with a single focus: bringing the diverse tribes of Horizon’s worlds to life," says the job description for Senior Character Artist. "Working hand-in-hand with peers in other teams at Guerrilla as well as external partners, this international team of creative problem solvers produces a large variety of content while retaining a tight-knit culture." While this might not sound like much, the post goes on to describe how the company is looking for someone to capture the "diverse tribes of Horizon’s worlds.” How mysterious.

Key Developers Leave ZA/UM "Involuntarily," Not Working On Disco Elysium Sequel

Several of the key people behind the critically acclaimed Disco Elysium including Robert Kurvitz, Aleksander Rostov, and Helen Hindpere were apparently forced out of Studio ZA/UM towards the end of last year. The news comes from an editor on the game, Martin Luiga. “I would note that neither Kurvitz, Hindpere nor Rostov are working there since the end of last year and their leaving the company was involuntary,” Luiga said. “Which would seem like bad news for the loving fans that are waiting for the Disco Elysium sequel.”

Apex Legends’ Gun Run LTM Might Be Even Better Than Control 4

Titanfall 2 Maps Reportedly Discovered In Apex Legends Datamine

The notorious dataminer by the name of KralRindo apparently found several references to Titanfall 2 maps in the latest update to Apex Legends, a total of nine in fact. “With the last patch, Capture Point locations were added for another upcoming game mode,” KralRindo said on Twitter. “They also added a lot of new maps for this LTM.” The dataminer went on to list the new files, adding that “for people who don't know, these are Titanfall 2 maps.” These consist of Exoplanet, Homestead, Angel City, Black Water Canal, Boneyard, Crash Site, Rise, Eden, and Colony in case you’re wondering. This won’t bring back Titanfall 2, but at least it’s a step in the right direction. Well, if you ask me.
