Here we are on yet another sleepy Sunday, at least in theory. We’ve been getting some pretty big news recently, making this particular Sunday in fact not so sleepy. We found out for example that a bit of Silent Hill news will soon be announced by Konami, Comcast pulled the plug on the gaming network G4 TV, and Game Director Hideki Kamiya just deleted his Twitter account amidst the ongoing controversy surrounding Bayonetta 3. There’s more where this came from, so read on for the rest.

Bayonetta 3 Director Hideki Kamiya Closes Twitter Account Following Voice Actor Pay Controversy

Bayonetta 3 Game Director Hideki Kamiya has been at the center of controversy ever since the voice actor Hellena Taylor called for a boycott of the game, revealing that she was only offered a pittance in recompense for her services. The latest development is that Kamiya has now deleted his Twitter account. “What did they offer to pay me? The final offer to do the whole game as a buyout and as a flat rate was $4,000,” Taylor previously said. “This is an insult to me and to the amount of time I took to work on my talent and everything that I have given to this game and the fans. I am asking the fans to boycott this game and instead spend the money you would have spent on this game donating to charity. I didn't want the world. I didn't ask for too much. I was just asking for a decent, dignified living wage. What they did was legal, but it was immoral."

Comcast Leaves Workers In The Lurch After Surprise Gaming Network G4 TV Cancellation

Comcast recently sprung the surprise announcement that G4 TV has been canceled, a move leaving dozens of workers in the lurch. The reason stated by Chief Executive Officer Dave Scott was a lack of profitability. “As you know, G4 was reintroduced last year to tap into the popularity of gaming,” Scott remarked in a leaked memo. “We invested to create the new G4 as an online and TV destination for fans to be entertained, be inspired, and connect with gaming content. Over the past several months, we worked hard to generate that interest in G4, but viewership is low and the network has not achieved sustainable financial results. This is certainly not what we hoped for and as a result, we have made the very difficult decision to discontinue G4’s operations, effective immediately.”

Amouranth Reveals That She's Married, Husband Controls Finances And Verbally Abuses Her On Stream

Amouranth came forward this afternoon with some rather shocking and unsettling news. The streamer is apparently married to an abusive husband. This of course represents the first time that Amouranth has made any mention of this, claiming to have been told to pose as single. The content creator could be seen accepting a phone call from her husband while on camera, noting how she was scared that he would harm her dogs. Amouranth has apparently been "wanting to tell" her fans that she was married for some time, but said that her husband rejected the idea, claiming that it would "ruin the business model.”

Former Achievement Hunter Kdin Jenzen Accuses Rooster Teeth Of Crunch, Slurs, And Unpaid Work

Kdin Jenzen has accused Rooster Teeth of crunch, slurs, and even unpaid work, the former Achievement Hunter star having left the company with nearly a decade worth of tenure. The departure came with a lengthy diatribe on Twitter in which he detailed some of the abuses. "Every day I came into work I was called 'F*gg*t,' but they could not use that name in content, so when anyone was recording, I was called 'Fugz' instead. For any fans who used that nickname for me for years, that’s what you were calling me,” Jenzen for example said. “I left Rooster Teeth because despite thinking I could make positive change in the company, they proved that I couldn’t, every step of the way. From 2013 until 2022, I did what I could to help my fellow employees, make positive change, and help the industry."
