We’re just a week or so away from the release of Mass Effect Legendary Edition, and to get people in the mood, BioWare is giving away a whole bunch of Mass Effect stuff, including the full soundtrack for the first three games, two art books, comic books, and a fancy picture of the Normandy.

This 1.7 GB package can be downloaded for free from the Mass Effect website. All of it was initially given away as part of the Deluxe Editions of both Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3, so if you’ve already purchased those games there’s not a lot here to be excited about, although there is at least one brand new song that was never on the initial soundtrack release.

BioWare released ME: Legendary Edition’s soundtrack yesterday on YouTube including the all-new song, "Resynthesis,” which was made specifically for the remastered game.

Both art books are PDFs and feature pictures and stories from Mass Effect 2 and 3, while the two PDF comic books are first issues of Mass Effect: Redemption and Mass Effect: Invasion, which both fill in the gaps between the three games. A Normandy digital lithograph is basically a fancy picture featuring the Normandy SR2 in the heat of battle.

BioWare is releasing a bunch of fun stuff ahead of Mass Effect Legendary Edition, including this custom box art creator. Now you can make your own cover art for ME: Legendary Edition featuring your favorite squadmates from all three games. For me, that’d be Wrex, Wrex, and Wrex. Shepard can stay on the Normandy and leave the heavy lifting to the Korgan power squad.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition arrives on May 14. Be sure to have an extra 12 GB handy, because the day one patch is apparently a doozy.
