Black Desert has just added their latest class to the game, the Hashashin, for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One with PC coming in the future.

The Hashasin is an assassin-style class that emphasizes high speed, mobility, and wind-based magic. This might warrior wields a shamshir to slice and dice enemies with blinding speed. He can also call upon sandstorms and whirlwinds to teleport himself around the battlefield, stunning and attacking enemies.

According to the developer’s website, the Hashashin was released to make up for the delays that came with the Guardian. It was also a partial thank you to fans for participating in the Heidel Ball. The Heidel Ball was an online event in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and showcased the game’s roadmap for 2020.

The developers have also clarified that the Hashashin would have a staggered release. It was first released for the PC in Korea and is now released globally to consoles only. They did not state when the Hashashin would make an appearance on the PC in the US, but it seems to be coming soon.

The Hashashin also plays a prominent role within a series of events coming soon. For instance, players who manage to level a Hashashin character up to 60 while the event is active will get 600 million silver and Black Stones. To help characters reach level 60 during the event, they will include a 24 hour Hot Time which boosts XP gains by 100% and drop rates by 30%.

There are also Sandstorms that can be encountered across the game, providing an additional 100% Skill EXP increase and 20% drop rate increase.

The Hashashin is an interesting new face in the game, undoubtedly bound to appeal to many fans. The extra class shows how Black Desert is gradually evolving to incorporate different realms and fighting styles in attempts to bring more variety into the game.
