BLAST Pro Series has teamed up with gaming peripheral producer SteelSeries, the esports tournament organizer announced today. The partnership will include a booth at the upcoming BLAST Pro Series Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament. The event will run from November 1st-2nd at the Royal Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark.

BLAST is a Danish CS:GO tournament organization company owned by RFRSH Entertainment. The BLAST Pro Series began in 2017, the inaugural event also taking place in Copenhagen. SK Gaming took down hometown favorites Astralis in the Grand Final, taking home the $125,000 grand prize. BLAST continued with three tournaments in 2018, making stops in Istanbul, Copenhagen, and Lisbon. BLAST has become a household name within the competitive Counter-Strike world as they have already held five tournaments this year, with two more remaining. They also recently announced the BLAST Premier, a $4 million competitive CS:GO event circuit set to begin in 2020.

BLAST’s next event takes place this weekend in Denmark, the home country of both RFRSH and SteelSeries. The full extent of the partnership is currently unclear, though it has been revealed that SteelSeries will sponsor a booth at the Royal Arena. This booth with be open for fans to participate in games and potentially win prizes. “We are delighted to partner with SteelSeries for our sold-out Copenhagen tournament,” says Leo Matlock, Commercial Director at BLAST Pro Series. “SteelSeries has been an ever-present in the esports community since they were founded in Denmark – there is a natural synergy here with BLAST’s ambitions and we are excited to be doing so many great activations with them as we return home to Copenhagen.” SteelSeries is partnered with many prominent esports brands including FaZe Clan, Cavs Legion Gaming Club, and OG.

The Copenhagen CS:GO tournament boasts a $250,000 prize pool, as is standard for BLAST events. The six-team competition features both Astralis and Team Liquid, two teams considered to be some of the best that professional CS:GO has to offer. The team list is rounded out by well-known organizations FaZe Clan, Natus Vincere, Cloud9, and Ninjas in Pyjamas. In keeping with BLAST’s model of short events, the tournament begins on Friday, November 1st, and ends on Saturday, November 2nd.

The final BLAST event of the year will see the four best teams from previous Pro Series tournaments battle for a $500,000 prize pool in Bahrain this December. So far only Astralis, Liquid, and FaZe Clan are confirmed to have qualified for the event.
