It seems that we will finally be seeing a new addition to the Warcraft universe, as a secret event is being held for fans of Warcraft 3 in North America.

Wowhead.com is reporting that several significant international Warcraft 3 players have been spotted trying to earn American Visas. The Warcraft 3 player known as Happy has revealed that he is attending a secret offline-only event that is being held in North America at the end February.

So what is the reason for this secret event? The two most obvious answers are that we will either be seeing a remastered version of Warcraft 3 or that Warcraft 4 is in development. The former seems more likely in this regard, as World of Warcraft has essentially been acting as an ever-continuing sequel to Warcraft 3 since its inception.

We likely won't see a Warcraft 4 without a full-on sequel to World of Warcraft, or a major update to the game which acts in the same manner.

A remastered version of Warcraft 3 seems more likely, due to the fact that Blizzard has already released a remastered version of Starcraft over the past few years, which saw a lot of success.

There is the possibility that we might see a Warcraft game that is being planned for smartphones, as the RTS-genre has done well on mobile phones in the past. A turn-based Warcraft spinoff would probably make a lot of money for Blizzard, but it's not the kind of reveal that would require this much secrecy. A Warcraft mobile game is the kind of thing that would be saved for E3 or a similar event.

It's also possible that we might see remastered versions of the first two Warcraft games, as those are considered pretty primitive by today's standards. This raises the question of whether those games will be remade in 2D or given full 3D ports. A Remastered Warcraft Trilogy would offer a huge amount of content for players, considering how long it takes to complete each of the three games.

The secrecy surrounding this event suggests that a full reveal might be being saved for E3, which is only a few months away.
