Blizzard might be trying to make up for last year’s performance by having six main stage announcements at BlizzCon 2019.

Quantity over quality appears to be the plan for Blizzard and this year’s BlizzCon. The schedule for the convention has been released and we see a string of “Coming Soon” blocks on the main stage that are conspicuously devoid of details. That’s four on Friday, November 1st, and another two on Saturday.

We don’t know what these could be about, but we do have some ideas. Diablo 2 Remastered has been rumored to be in Blizzard’s back pocket and is an obvious move given the success Blizzard has had with nostalgic re-releases (see WoW Classic and Starcraft Remastered). Diablo 4 is also known to be in development after being shown off internally last summer.

Overwatch 2 is also a rumored addition to the Blizzard pantheon, what with the original game starting to feel its age after releasing in 2016. We could also get a surprise new Overwatch character in the meantime to tide fans over.

World of Warcraft is another potential addition. People still play this game religiously, and while many have piled into the WoW Classic servers to the point of overloading them, regular WoW is still a thing that people expect to receive continuous expansions. A new one might be a big enough deal for a main stage announcement.

There are already listed events for updates on Heroes of the Storm, Hearthstone, and Warcraft III: Reforged, and it seems unlikely that these games would get two presentations. That leaves one or two main stage presentations unaccounted for.

Could we be in for another surprise mobile game announcement? Or perhaps Blizzard will actually take the time to address the #BoycottBlizzard scandal and try to make amends with alienated fans. It seems totally unlikely, but then again, a few years ago nobody would have thought that Blizzard would have sold out their principles for access to the Chinese market.

Times change, man.
