Way back 100 years ago in June of 2020, Ziggurat Interactive had announced that it acquired the rights to the BloodRayne IP from Majesco Entertainment and would be working on remasters for modern platforms. Well, it seems we won't need to be waiting much longer as these new enhanced ports are right around the corner.

Called the "Terminal Cut," both BloodRayne 1 and 2 will see a re-release on Steam and GOG on November 20, 2020, and come packed with a slew of modern features. Things like 4K resolution support, upscaled FMV cutscenes, gamepad integration, new lighting effects, and extra language all round out a fairly robust package. The best part?

These remasters will be free to current owners of BloodRayne 1 and 2 on both Steam and GOG.

In a press release for the remasters, Ziggurat president Wade Rosen said, "The response was tremendous when we announced that we had taken over stewardship of the BloodRayne series. Fans have been asking what's next for the series, and now we're excited to show off the great work that's been done by Terminal Reality on the first two titles."

For those that are unaware, Terminal Reality was the original developer behind the first two entries. While the company went defunct in 2013 and saw its properties sold off to other publishers, Ziggurat was able to reconnect the original team to improve these cult-classic shooters. That should ensure that these remasters are true to the original games that fans love.

Seeing as how the low price of FREE means diehards will already have these, there's no reason to not try out the games if you're interested.
