Roughly one year after its console debut, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will be rising again on mobile devices. Announced on the game's official website, both iOS and Android users will be able to trek through Gebel's castle with Miriam sometime next month. The tentative "December 2020" isn't given more clarification, though the wait won't be much longer.

If you're wondering about any concessions made to gameplay, you can put those fears to bed. Developer ArtPlay has stated this is the full version that console players received last year along with all of the DLC and updates that have come since release. It will retain all of the voice acting and cutscenes and will only require a one-time purchase of $9.99. There are no microtransactions or cut corners to get this out on mobile platforms.

I'm not exactly sure how well a Metroidvania would translate to a touchscreen interface, but that's not my call to make. Since the game does support Bluetooth controllers, players without a need for consoles can check this out with relative ease. It might even end up being better than the Switch port.

To stay informed of the exact date that Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will be available, you can pre-register for the game on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store's. This pre-order will require payment, but you'll be good to go whenever it does materialize. With the new iPhone 12 having a fancy HDR screen, this could end up being a showpiece for flaunting all of the cash you've wasted.
