Sunshrooms can be purchased in Gerudo Town and Warm Safflina can be found by the Great Fairy Fountain in Gerudo Desert. You'll need to strike at Farosh's horn to obtain a shard of it. You can find get a good angle for this at Hylia Bridge as Farosh emerges from Lake Hylia at midnight.

Courser Bee Honey is hard to find in most regions, but beehives can be found in abundance on the Great Plateau (or at least with greater consistency than in other areas). As mentioned, Endura Carrots can be farmed at either Hyrule Ridge or Faron Grasslands. Endura Shrooms can be easily found north of the Central Tower in Hyrule Field, within Dalite Forest, and underneath assorted huts in Lurelin Village. It's never a bad idea to have a few of these in your inventory at all times.

If you use Big Hearty Radishes instead of the regular-sized ones, you can create a dish that fully recovers your health and up to 12 Yellow Hearts. You can find Big Hearty Radishes throughout Hyrule in grassy areas like forests, while Hylian Rice can be either purchased from merchants or by cutting grass.

x3

Monster Parts

x1

Shard of Farosh's Horn

Not only does Link have to worry about fighting Bokoblins and other enemies, but he also has to survive the brutal climates of Hyrule. Warming up in colder spots is much easier than cooling down in hotter areas like Eldin, where you can spontaneously combust if not careful. You can purchase the Flamebreaker armor set in Goron City to offset this, but if you're feeling hasty or can't shell out the rupees, you can always make a Fireproof Elixir instead.

With these ingredients, you can create a Fireproof Elixir that lasts for 30 minutes. This should provide plenty of time to explore the hottest locations in Hyrule without worrying about catching on fire when you least expect it. Smotherwing Butterflies are commonly found by lakes of lava, and you'll need to target Farosh's Horn to claim a piece of it.

Chillshrooms can be found in abundance at the Naydra Snowfield, in the Hebra region, and in the Gerudo Highlands. Hydromelons can be purchased at the Kara Kara Bazaar in the Gerudo Desert, and, as mentioned earlier, the best spot to strike at Farosh for a horn shard is at Hylia Bridge.

One of the biggest obstacles you'll face early during your adventure is not having enough stamina to explore the highest peaks of Hyrule. Fortunately, you can make an incredibly powerful meal using an ingredient found during the opening hours of the game to circumvent this issue and reach new heights.

Cooking five Endura Carrots will turn them into Enduring Fried Wild Greens, a meal that provides you with two temporary stamina wheels and 15 Yellow Hearts. This dish is essential for the early hours of Breath of the Wild, and you can find Endura Carrots by Great Fairy Fountains, Satori Mountain, and around the cliffs near Malayna Spring.

Hasty Simmered Fruit restores seven of Link’s Hearts while offering the highest tier speed boost for 30 minutes, allowing you to run through regions in the blink of an eye.

Fleet Lotus Seeds can be found at and around Rutile Lake. While any Dragon's Horn Shard works for the recipe, you'll certainly have an easier time trying to get one from Farosh. If you need a change of scenery from its spawn point at Lake Hylia, it also emerges from Riola Spring in the Faron region.

4 Hearty Steamed Meat

While it might not be as easy to make as Hearty Veggie Rice Balls or other recipes, a little extra work can create a dish that provides you with even more Yellow Hearts. One serving of Hearty Steamed Meat not only fully recovers all of Link’s health, but it also gives him 20 temporary Heart Containers – more than enough to help him clear the hardest challenges in Breath of the Wild.

Many recipes will help you survive harsh climates or provide temporary health, but sometimes that's not enough to defeat some of the game's most ruthless enemies and bosses. Mighty Simmered Fruit will triple your attack power for three minutes and 50 seconds and requires fairly basic ingredients to make.

While the dish only heals five hearts, the attack boost makes fighting certain enemies much easier. Whether you're taking on the Divine Beasts or conquering Shrines, it's always best to have a few Mighty Simmered Fruits prepared in case you accidentally come face to face with a formidable opponent.

2 Sneaky Fried Wild Greens

A Silent Princess stands out in a field of grass

Ingredient

Number Required

Silent Princess

x3

Fairy

x1

Shard of Farosh's Horn

x1

One of the first things you should do in Breath of the Wild is to activate the Sheikah Towers, but some of them are surrounded by tough enemies that can decimate you with a single attack. The Sneaky Fried Wild Greens restores nearly 23 Hearts while also offering Link a high-level stealth buff for half an hour – a must-have recipe if you want to sneak around the opposition to get what you need.

Silent Princesses are found on the hills overlooking Kakariko Village, by most Fairy Fountains, and around the Master Sword’s pedestal. Fairies can be easily caught at Fairy Fountains, and Farosh’s Horn can be farmed at Lake Floria or Lake Hylia.

1 Hearty Fried Wild Greens

Link cooks Hearty Fried Wild Greens outside a stable on a windy day

Ingredient

Number Required

Big Hearty Radish

x5

There are plenty of recipes in Breath of the Wild that completely restore your health and provide you with temporary hearts, but none of them are as simple to make or powerful as Hearty Fried Wild Greens. You only need one ingredient - Big Hearty Radishes - to fully recover your health and provide you with 25 Yellow Hearts.

After unlocking the Sheikah Sensor + from the Slated For Upgrades side quest, you should set it to search for Big Hearty Radishes and stock up on as many of them as possible. You can find them in forests or grassy areas and should always cook them together to create one of the best recipes in Breath of the Wild.
