The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is one of the most striking and engaging games within The Legend of Zelda Franchise. It is expansive, fun to play, and also incredibly awesome to look at. The many settings, characters, and plotlines have inspired many fans to create some excellent art.

Many of these pieces below may even make it on your desktop as wallpaper, or on your actual wall at home. So, without further ado, check out these exceptional examples of beautiful Breath of the Wild fan art. It may even inspire you to jump back into the game itself.

In this image by alanscampos, Link is doing what he does best: being heroic. He is facing off against those annoying Bokoblins. However, not only is he about to give them the business, but he is also surrounded by them.

If you have ever played this game, you know that when these guys group together, they can be a recipe for disaster. So, this image perfectly captures those moments in the game when you pull off a straight rout of some enemies.

9 The Champions

We are not going to lie; we got a little emotional when we saw this one. Not only is it beautiful, but it shares the story of what happened to The Champions of Hyrule. First, we see Revali, Daruk, Mipha, and Urbosa surrounded by flowers. Spoiler alert if you haven't played the game, but it seems to represent their death.

We then notice Zelda going toward an open door; this likely represents the sacrifice she made to seal Ganon. From there, we see Link, who is caught between death—where he was at the start of the game—and going to rescue Zelda. Who knew we would get the remarkable story of this title in an image? Way to go Xelgot!

8 Beating The Odds

There he goes again. Link is doing what he was sent to do...save Hyrule. He is traveling on his noble horse and has his bow ready to go. In the background, we get a neat nod to Calamity Ganon as he encircles the castle—something that we frequently see in the game.

If you look toward the right-hand corner, you can also see a Guardian Stalker ready to hit our hero with a dangerous laser. What makes this image stand out is the impressive blend of high-resolution imagery (the grass and Link), and what seems like charcoal and pencil in the background for Calamity Ganon. We have to shout out to jasqreate for this one.

7 Enjoying The View

There is something magical about The Legend of Zelda. The very setting of these games is perfect for the creation of art. The lush forests, castle grounds, and expansive horizons could inspire even the most non-artsy person.

This image by Coreyart7 reveals how beautiful the background of this game can be. Link is approaching Hyrule castle, likely knowing the battle that is coming. This image looks like an oil painting that could be hung in a museum.

6 A Modern Camping Trip

Typically, The Legend of the Zelda is portrayed as being in a time before technology. This reason is why it is so refreshing to see Link and Zelda in a different scenario. Here we see these two on a camping trip.

They look like the typical millennials enjoying the outdoors together. Be sure to check out for all the neat easter eggs in this one. From the tent to the jeep, the whole image is a heartfelt homage to an excellent game by atarts.

5 Joining Forces

There are times when you see a piece of fan art, and you get this weird combination of genuine emotion and straight awe. This image produces that kind of feeling. This creation by De-monVarela is one that we will look back on at the end of the 2020s and feel insanely nostalgic for the awesome experience that is Breath of the Wild.

Here we see the stars of the franchise, Zelda and Link, holding what looks to be the Master Sword while also joining forces. This one is so good that it could be the official cover art.

4 The Beautiful Epona

Epona was almost just as much the star of Ocarina of Time as Link was. However, this main character seemed to be missing from Breath of the Wild. Epona is accessible through some weird Amiibo process, but it would have been nice to see her off the bat.

Well, this graphic from sandara looks to be the noble steed in all her glory. Her hair is bristling in the wind, and next to her, you can see a Korok. This fan art makes the argument that Epona should have been included in the first place.

3 Is This Studio Ghibli?

Whoa, this looks like the blend that we always wanted. The remarkable story of Link seems as if it is coming from one of the most beloved anime studios of all time. You can almost feel the retro nostalgia creeping into this image.

Salvamakoto knew exactly what he was doing when he created this stellar homage to The Legend of Zelda and Studio Ghibli, and we are here for it. This graphic is something we didn't know we wanted. Hmmm...maybe Nintendo and Studio Ghibli need to have some conversations.

2 The Final Battle

We know that we have another image here showing Link going against Ganon, but this one was too good to pass up. Here we see the Hero of Time going head-to-head with this manifestation of Calamity Ganon.

What we love about this image from HeavyMetalHanzo is that Link is on the move while clad in what looks like his Ocarina of Time uniform. It is almost as if this image is being filmed, and we are experiencing this battle in 4K HD. The colors are vibrant, and the image itself is pristine.

1 Pixelized Glory

Yes, HD fan art regarding this franchise is beautiful. However, we love when designers blend the new with the old. This image by BryanHeemskerk shows us what Breath of the Wild would have looked like had it come out on the SNES over two decades ago.

It sets off that nostalgic wonder of what this game would have been in another era. Also, even though it is pixelated, this image is sharp and conveys how awesome Link is in battle.
