While most nations in Brigandine: The Legend Of Runersia are old and venerable institutions, The United Isles of Mirelva are a motley collection of pirate islands, coalescing to form a singular nation. They are a decent campaign choice for beginners and have one of the more unique faction themes.

A charismatic leader makes for a fun campaign, although you will have to fight your way through some of the toughest enemies in Runersia in order to claim victory. This guide will explain who The United Isles of Mirelva are, their primary strengths and weaknesses, and some advice on how to play them in the early game.

Who Are The United Islands Of Mirelva?

Brigandine: The Legend Of Runersia Stella Hamett

The ongoing war in Runersia has stirred up the blood of Mirelva's pirates, and led by the steadfast and energetic Stella Hamett, they seek to finally gain a foothold in the continent. A descendant of the legendary Captain Hamett, Stella was nominated by her father to lead the Isles into war. Each of the seven islands proposes a candidate, and a chairperson is decided by the pirate scion council, who unanimously voted for Stella, thanks to her bravery in battle and confidence in leadership. She, therefore, dons the Brigandine of Ego and journeys forth to do battle.

A decently large landmass gives you a fairly comfy starting location, and the linear nature of your settlement placements makes them very easy to defend, as you do not have to cover multiple attack options.

You begin with seven starting settlements, and your capital will be Saint Gladia. Hidden away behind your exterior bases, it is easy very easy to defend, and when playing as the Isles you should not worry too much about being attacked, which leaves you to free to concentrate on offense.

Led by Stella, who is keen to finally assert Mirelva's right to lands and mainland territory, you will first be tasked with defeating either The Mana Saleesia Theocracy, the largest and most powerful Brigandine nation, or The Holy Gustava Empire, yet another strong foe. The good news is that these are the only enemies you will have to worry about for a long time, as the other nations are hidden behind them to the West.

Despite being a great character, Stella is really nothing special on the battlefield. Average stats and abilities mean she is not an automatic choice for spearheading your attacks. She does have a great ability in Charm, which will allow you to capture enemy monsters after their Rune Knight retreats from battle. With 14 Rune Knights, you have plenty of alternatives, and the strongest is certainly Umimaru, who possesses the unique Automaton class. He features the strongest AoE move in the entire game, with Umimaru Cannon 2.0. This will allow you to completely nuke enemy armies, so investing resources to get Umimaru leveled is an excellent option. Other decent Rune Knights alongside Stella and Umimaru will be Ginny, Pluto, and Adieu, who you can use to expand while questing with your lower-level characters in order to build their strength.

Early Game Tips

Brigandine: The Legend Of Runersia Stella Hamett Stats

Your go-to starting route is to quickly invade both Vestillis and Drowarn, which will give you more territory but not increase the number of active frontline bases. Then, try to proceed to capture both Norbas and Zagust to the North East. Invading the Holy Gustava Empire is a good choice, as the Mana Saleesia Theocracy is typically fairly busy fighting off other threats and will usually just defend their borders without aggressing yours. A quick start is important, as you are well positioned to claim some easy new bases, and you have the starting Rune Knight levels to not need to sit and consolidate.

Pushing your through the North is generally quite safe, as until you reach the Norzaleo Kingdom, you won't encounter any new enemies. However, tackling the Mana Saleesia Theocracy can be tricky, depending on how powerful they have become. Try to use hit-and-run tactics to pull their troops all over the place, as you will have the advantage of being able to attack from multiple angles. Their leader, Rudo Marco, is very strong, and unless Stella has a large level advantage, she might struggle to duel him on the game's higher difficulty settings.

As with every faction in Brigandine: The Legend Of Runersia, you are able to spam recruit the Elemental monsters into your armies. These are extremely overpowered, and by repeating their Prism Shot ability, you can easily defeat any enemy. While it is certainly powerful, you will probably have more fun by mixing and matching the different available monsters into your armies.
