Brock will be making an appearance in the four-part Pokemon Journeys Arceus special.

When it comes to the Pokemon anime, one of the most popular and well-known characters is Brock, the former Pewter City Gym leader that joined Ash, Misty, and Pikachu on their journey from Kanto to Sinnoh in the Pokemon anime. Although Brock doesn't appear in the series regularly anymore, he has made some brief cameos over the years, most recently when he and Misty travelled to Alola to visit Ash in the Sun & Moon anime.

Although that cameo was a few years ago, it looks like Brock is ready to make another appearance. As spotted by Anipoke on Twitter and reported by Game Rant, Brock can be seen in a new batch of screenshots from the upcoming "Pokemon God and Arceus" four-part anime special that will be releasing later in January to celebrate the launch of Pokemon Legends: Arceus.

The screenshots show several different scenes from the special, but the one that has caught most Pokemon fans' eyes is the one featuring Brock and Dawn alongside Goh and Ash. Dawn recently made an appearance in the Pokemon Journeys anime, so her being in the special isn't too much of a surprise, but Brock hasn't been seen in the Pokemon anime since Sun & Moon.

Fans have also noticed Brock's outfit looks to be very similar to how he looked in the Diamond & Pearl anime, although with some black trims around the side this time. It's not clear what Brock is doing with Goh and Ash, but the screenshot seems to show them all about to be in some sort of combat scenario.

Some of the other screenshots give a hint at what else might appear in the special. The wooden Poke Balls that appear in Legends: Arceus can be seen in one screenshot, as well as Saturn, Mars, and Jupiter, who look like they're up to no good. The Legendary Pokemon Azelf, Uxie, and Mespirit also appear in another screenshot, although their involvement is also unknown.
