With hit after hit, K-pop band BTS has slowly been taking over the world of music, and now they have their sites set on the world of gaming. The Korean group has just announced a new partnership with Singaporean developer Garena to become the new global ambassador for its mobile battle royale game, Garena Free Fire.

“BTS is a global phenomenon; their appeal and influence are unrivaled. We are absolutely excited to welcome BTS as our latest brand ambassador, and can not wait to share the collaboration plans we have in place,” said Free Fire producer Harold Teo. “Bringing BTS into the Free Fire universe will offer our players more ways to engage with the game, socialize with the community, and enjoy new experiences.”

Not only will BTS become Free Fire’s new global ambassador, but the K-pop group will also appear in-game sometime in March thanks to a “never-before-seen event.” Details on that event will appear on Garena Free Fire’s social feeds starting next month.

This is hardly the first time BTS has invaded a video game. The group has already performed in Fortnite, collaborated with PUBG developer Krafton, and appears in its own mobile dating game. A BTS producer even helped Dead By Daylight create a BTS-inspired killer to chase after unfortunate survivors. Getting into Garena is just the next step in BTS’s plan for global gaming domination.
